After months of cast announcements, early teases, and growing curiosity around HBO’s small-screen reboot of J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world, the show has now unveiled its first trailer. It is the clearest look yet at how this new version plans to bring Hogwarts back to the screen, and it arrives as one of HBO’s biggest long-term bets heading into 2027.

The new Harry Potter series stars Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, alongside John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. The Weasley family includes Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, with Tristan Harland, Gabriel Harland, Ruari Spooner, and Gracie Cochrane appearing as Fred, George, Percy, and Ginny Weasley.
