The momentous release of Berserk's latest chapter was nine months in the making, with chapter #384 certainly sparing no obvious rebirth parallels with Guts' latest development. Resting inside the stupa under the watch of his surprising new Kushan allies, Guts now faces virtually all the demons he suppressed since birth, hopefully in the name of a true breakthrough. But what's perhaps more exciting for readers, and clearly at Studio Gaga, is the promise of the most consecutive chapter releases for Berserk since its return after Miura's passing.

Berserk chapter #384 is part of three consecutive releases, with chapter #385 next up on June 26, and chapter #386 on July 10, 2026. While three consecutive chapters might feel almost too normal to be noteworthy for other manga, even with patterns like Eiichiro Oda's in consideration, it's only ever been reached once under Kouji Mori's watch since taking the series. With one of the most significant narrative hurdles showing signs of being cleared with this latest batch, Berserk's progression certainly heralds a more optimistic time for fans worldwide.

Berserk's Manga Return Breaks A 4-Year Streak For The Series

Since the releases of Berserk chapters #365 through #367 in 2022, Berserk has not released three consecutive chapters once, with fans often settling for one month between releases at the very best in most cases. Fittingly, this batch also followed a nine-month period, albeit for more tragic reasons as they were the first under Mori's supervision, with chapter #364 being the last one illustrated by Miura and releasing on September 10, 2021. Whether the manga's continuation following July 10's promised chapter continues the pace is anybody's guess, but given Miura himself obsessed over Guts' big moment in the latest chapter, it's clear that real progress was made and felt by Studio Gaga.

But the story is far from over. Griffith has Casca in his clutches over in Falconia, while Guts has yet to emerge from the stupa. Having shown a persistently despondent state for years' worth of chapter releases, fans endured an agonizing sight of Guts at his lowest of abyssal lows, whether aboard the Seahorse, or being utterly unresponsive to the threat of Rakshas in recent chapters. Far too many threats still exist, and with the latest revelations about Guts' unique Astral connections, it's increasingly clear how he's been able to fight back all this time. With Berserk coming back more aggressively than ever under Mori's watch, now's the time to look forward with optimism for the chapters ahead.
