After a month away, 9-1-1 is finally new this week, returning to screens with an episode titled “Going Once, Going Twice” airing tonight on ABC. When we last left off with the first responders at the 118, it was Harry’s (Elijah M. Cooper) first day on the job as a new probie with station captain, Chimney (Kenneth Choi), feeling rather hesitant to throw him out of the frying pan and into the fire (pun intended). To be fair, we can’t blame Chim, seeing how the up-and-coming firefighter is the step-son of Peter Krause’s Bobby and the son of Angela Bassett’s Athena, putting further pressure on Chimney to show him the ropes and keep him safe. But today, we’re shifting the focus off of the continuation of Harry and Chimney’s storyline with an exclusive sneak peek of this evening’s episode that features the cliffhanger that left us on edge.
Along with the regular goings-on at the 118, the January 29 episode also saw Eddie (Ryan Guzman) reach out to a young woman whom he and the team previously saved. Following a court appearance where he and Hen (Aisha Hinds) painted their side of the story for the judge and jury, Eddie was reunited with Abigail (Fallon Heaslip), who quickly took a liking to the firefighter. Throughout the installment, Abigail follows Eddie back to the station and then pops up at his house that night, asking plenty of questions about his son, Christopher (Gavin McHugh). The episode ends with Abigail picking Christopher up from school after lying to the boy and telling him that his father sent her in his place.
Eddie’s Big Panic on '9-1-1'
Our exclusive sneak peek reveals the fallout after Eddie realizes that something has gone horribly wrong when he shows up at the bus stop to pick Chris up. Watching from his car, Eddie sees numerous students getting off the bus, but his son is nowhere in sight. Flagging down the driver before he continues on his route, Eddie asks where Chris is. Much to his dismay, Eddie is caught off guard and left very worried after the driver informs him that Chris never got on the bus and that he didn’t see him at the school. It’s unclear where tonight’s episode of 9-1-1 will take Eddie, Chris, and Abigail’s story, but you’d better believe that the dutiful father will be calling for all hands on deck to help him find his son.
Check out our exclusive first look at the next episode of 9-1-1 above and see how everything shakes out tonight on ABC.
