Ahead of its end, network TV's longest-running active sitcom is already a streaming success. Comedies have always been part of traditional broadcasting, with some of the most popular show in the 2025-2026 cycle either a procedural or sitcom. Before streaming successes in the genre with Shrinking, Ted Lasso, and Hacks, network has already been producing some of the greatest in the sandbox with icons such as M*A*S*H*, Frasier, and The Golden Girls.
The Neighborhood Is A Streaming Success On Paramount+ Ahead Of Its End

Per FlixPatrol, The Neighborhood is currently ranking at number 9 for the most-watched shows on Paramount+ today, March 9, 2026. The comedy has also been one of its top-rated offerings for 474 days, which is an impressive feat. For context, all seasons of the series are available to stream on the streamer, with brand new episodes airing on Monday nights dropping the next day on the platform. This makes Paramount+ the ultimate destination for anyone who wants to watch the project.
What makes The Neighborhood's ranking on streaming more impressive is the fact that the only other comedy in the list is Ghosts, which is one of the most popular shows on network TV. Other broadcast hits such as Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage isn't even on the roster, at least at this point, even though it's supposed to be more popular than The Neighborhood when it comes to live broadcasting. The only other comedy in the ranking is Everybody Loves Raymond, which is a classic.
What To Expect From The Rest Of The Neighborhood's Run
There was actually a planned spinoff for The Neighborhood featuring Malcolm and Marty — Calvin and Tina's sons as they move out of Pasadena and to Venice Beach. Unfortunately, CBS ended up not moving forward with the project. Some integral parts of the narrative are now expected to be folded into the final episodes of the flagship, which means to expect some episodes heavily focused on the duo. Set content has already hinted that Marty and Courtney are going to tie the knot some time in the near future, making for the perfect cause for celebration.
The Neighborhood season 8, episode 1 ends with a totally unexpected news for Dave, setting up the show's end and similar to how it started.
There's also a set video from the last day of filming of The Neighborhood that poses an interesting storyline, as it shows Dave and Gemma's house all packed up. For context, the events of the series started with Grover's family moving to Pasadena and being next-door neighbors to the Butlers. It's unclear where they will be resettling, but if this is an indication of how the show wraps up, then it means that CBS is bringing its story full-circle.
