It's been less than a month since Season 2 of Netflix's One Piece aired, scoring another widely acclaimed success for the franchise. The One Piece fever has yet to die down, especially with the anime just having returned with the Elbaph Arc. That said, just when fans were beginning to move on from the live-action, Netflix has fanned the flames of excitement with a brand-new update on Season 3.

Given the long break between Seasons 1 and 2, there were concerns that the next installment of the live-action series could take some time. However, with One Piece's producers potentially looking at six or more seasons and production for the new season having kicked off back in November, it seems like Season 3 of Netflix's One Piece could be here sooner than expected, and this latest update confirms it.

Netflix's One Piece Drops A Major Season 3 Update

The official Netflix One Piece account on X recently shared a new teaser for Season 3 featuring the live-action series logo in a desert. The official title for Season 3 has also been unveiled: "One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta." Most excitingly, the post confirms that Season 3 of the One Piece live-action will be releasing in 2027.

Season 3 of One Piece is set to adapt the Alabasta Arc, and will see the debut of characters such as Bon Clay, played by Cole Escola, Ace, who will be played by Xolo Maridueña, and many more. Most importantly, Season 3 will also see Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Maganiello, step fully into the spotlight after only a brief cameo in Season 2.

WIT Studio's The One Piece anime also has an update with a new sneak peek coming later today. An update with the video will be added the moment this new preview is available.
