Released worldwide on Netflix just five days ago, the gritty, high-stakes Peaky Blinders movie has been making waves, quickly drawing positive attention from both critics and viewers. Titled Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the crime sequel premiered at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, on March 2, 2026, followed by a limited theatrical release four days later, before landing on Netflix on March 20, 2026.

Upon its release, The Immortal Man earned a 91% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes and became one of Netflix's most-watched titles. In its first three days, it amassed 25.3 million views, and this week, it ranks as the No. 1 English-language movie in 50 countries, including the U.S., per Tudum, thereby accomplishing a major milestone. This success isn't surprising, considering the original Peaky Blinders series, which ran for six seasons from 2013 to 2022, already had a strong Netflix audience that helped boost the film's popularity.

Additionally, the British favorite easily overtook Alan Ritchson's sci-fi hit War Machine, which had been #1 on the charts for over two weeks after its Netflix premiere on March 6, 2026. War Machine, now in its third week in the top 10, remains in second place globally with 18 million views and ranks #1 in 22 countries. Alongside Ritchson, the 69% RT action film features Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Daniel Webber.

'Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man' Is the Perfect Weekend Binge

Directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight, who created the original series, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man sees Cillian Murphy reprise his role as the infamous Thomas Shelby. Amid the chaos of WWII, the retired gangster is pulled back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet, one that heavily involves his son and the current leader of the Peaky Blinders, Erasmus "Duke" Shelby (Barry Keoghan). Besides the duo, the crime drama stars Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, and Stephen Graham, reprising their roles, alongside new addition Rebecca Ferguson.
