Two years after season 1, the release date for Netflix's live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender has been announced.

The series is an adaptation of Nickelodeon's animated Avatar: The Last Airbender. While the original show is universally acclaimed, the live-action version had a more divisive reception, sporting a 62% critics' score and 70% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender cast includes Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dalls Liu as Zukko, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh.

Now, Netflix has revealed that Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 will arrive on the platform on Thursday, June 25, 2026. The upcoming season will focus on Aang learning how to master the element of earth in his continued fight against the Fire Nation. It will also introduce Toph (Miya Cech), a blind earthbender who helps train the protagonist.
