Netflix remains one of the most consistent streaming services for delivering binge-worthy content, but every once in a while, it drops a new series that blows viewers away. This 8-part crime thriller starring Emmy winner Jason Bateman and Academy Award winner Jude Law is one of those rare series that instantly pulls viewers in, taking them on a fast-paced and rewarding journey that’s fun to binge from start to finish.
If you’re unsure what to watch this week on Netflix, especially since there are not too many new streaming options worth checking out right now, then revisiting the acclaimed crime thriller Black Rabbit, starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law, is one of your very best options to binge. Sporting a high Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 81%, this 8-part crime thriller is dark, gritty, suspenseful, and built to binge.
Jason Bateman’s Netflix Crime Thriller Is One Of Its Best – And It’s Easy To Get Hooked On
Black Rabbit is one of Netflix's best crime thriller series that is incredibly easy to get hooked on. Law and Bateman, who also serve as executive producers, are magnetic as brothers, Jake and Vince Friedkin, two brothers with a volatile relationship and a complex past. Vince, who is chaotic and somewhat estranged from Jake due to his history of addiction, suddenly shows up at Jake's successful New York restaurant, the Black Rabbit, carrying with him a world of trouble after fleeing criminals in Reno, Nevada.
Jake, who is far from perfect as the charismatic but self-serving owner of the Black Rabbit, still has a soft spot for his brother, even though he is fully aware of the danger he represents to his current operations and livelihood. After Jake realizes he can't turn Vince away in his moment of need, he invites his brother back into his life, which ignites a disastrous domino effect that carries enormous, life-shattering consequences for Jake and those close to him.
Black Rabbit's story really gets going when Jake tries to help Vince pay off a large debt to a dangerous gang, which proves to be a near-impossible task, as Vince seems to have enemies everywhere he goes. Bateman, who often plays clean-cut characters as seen in Netflix's Ozark and HBO's DTF St. Louis, takes on a completely different look as the haggard Vince, giving his fans the chance to see him take on a completely different type of role on one of Netflix's best new limited series.
This 8-Part Netflix Series Is A Perfect Binge This Week – And It Doesn’t Take Long To Finish
NetflixWith a total runtime of roughly 7 hours, Black Rabbit makes for an ideally quick watch that's perfect for a two-night binge. Since Netflix's biggest new streaming release this week, the 8-part crime comedy Big Mistakes, doesn't come out until Thursday, April 9, Netflix viewers and crime thriller fans have the perfect opportunity to dive into Black Rabbit during the first half of this week.

HBO’s 7-Part Crime Thriller With A Near-Perfect RT Score Is Built For A Weekend Binge
HBO Max's 7-part crime thriller with a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 96% and total runtime of roughly 7 hours is built for a weekend binge.
In addition to the combined star power of Bateman and Law, Black Rabbit offers an adrenaline-fueled combination that feels like a mix of The Bear and Uncut Gems. Naturally, fans of Ozark will enjoy Black Rabbit, as Bateman not only stars in the 8-part crime series but also directs two episodes along with Ozark star and Emmy winner Laura Linney. Fans of Netflix's family crime series Bloodline should also enjoy Black Rabbit, as it also deals with complex family relationships and inescapable crime drama.
Out of all the streaming options on Netflix this week, Law and Bateman's Black Rabbit is one of the best original series released in the thriller genre last year and is an easy binge for fans of gritty crime dramas.
