Nathan Massey shows off his incredible seven month transformation after he was left shocked by photo his friend took of his body on holiday

Nathan Massey showed off his toned physique and impressive weight loss in an Instagram snap on Thursday following an incredible seven-month body transformation.

The Love Island winner, 34, told his followers that he was prompted to take action after being shocked by an unflattering photo a pal took of him on holiday.

Nathan uploaded the image, which showed him from the back, alongside another 'before' snap as he vowed to make a change to the way he looked.

Writing over his images, the father-of-two penned: 'A year ago I thought I was in great shape until my friend took a picture of me from behind and I was shocked...

'So I thought it was time for a change.'

Alongside the final image of himself looking considerably slimmer and fitter Nathan shared: '7 months in and I'm feeling great! Life's all about balance...'

Nathan looked full of confidence as he whipped off his top for a mirror selfie at the gym, with the star donning navy shorts and white trainers.  

The reality star also captioned his post, writing: 'Life's not about extremes — it's about balance, consistency and just keeping yourself ticking over.'

Nathan's post was met with plenty of supportive messages from his fans and showbiz pals, with Emmerdale's Danny Miller commenting: 'Go on son!!!'

While podcaster Jamie Morton added: 'Smashing it mate.' 

Hours earlier, Nathan gave another glimpse of his newly trim physique as he got dressed to head to a football match, with fans once again remarking on his new look. 

Nathan won series two of Love Island alongside Cara De La Hoyde back in 2016.

The couple went on to marry before welcoming two children, son Freddie-George and daughter Delilah.

And it seems the pair won't be expanding their brood anytime soon as earlier this week, Nathan was 'forced' to book a vasectomy.

On their Fubar Radio show, Not In Front Of The Kids, Cara, 36, revealed she was 'desperate' for Nathan to have the procedure as she didn't want to have any more children.

Nathan then suggested a challenge for them to get '500 comments and 3000 likes' on their Instagram page, with the TV star agreeing to 'book in' the vasectomy if the target was met. 

Sharing her reason for wanting her husband to have the procedure, Cara explained:  'On the occasion that we do have sex, there's still a chance I'm going to get pregnant. 

'I don't want to go and have an abortion. There is no way on earth I'm going to have another child, and I don't want to put myself through that mentally, and physically.'

She added that after giving birth to two children, Nathan 'having a little slit in your ball bag' is nothing like she had to experience with childbirth. 

Nathan protested: 'It’s the crown jewels man, what if it goes wrong?'

Though the couple did indeed reach their target, they've yet to update fans as to whether the vasectomy will be going ahead.
