Myleene Klass says she cannot 'commit' to the 25th anniversary Hear'Say reunion 'at the moment' because she is 'just super busy.'

The band - who formed on TV talent show Popstars in 2001 - sent fans wild on Thursday with a mock-up of their group chat in which Noel asked if it was time to get the band together – inviting followers to sign up for an impending announcement.

The group only lasted a year but Noel Sullivan, Suzanne Shaw, Kym Marsh and Danny Foster are keen to celebrate their milestone with a tour.

Myleene, 48, has explained though that her hectic schedule has forced her to say no to the reunion plans.

Speaking on Loose Women on Monday, the TV and radio presenter said her bandmates 'were really sweet, and they did include me in the discussions. But it's not something I can commit to at the moment.'

'I just really can't. I know that they're still figuring out a lot of the moving parts of it, and until they do that, you know, there's nothing sort of necessary set in stone. But for me, I'm just super busy. I'm committed to you guys.'

Myleene added that she looks back on her time in the band fondly, and is still on good terms with her old bandmates.

She insisted: 'I love the guys dearly. It was an incredibly important time in my life. It taught me so much. You know, epic songs like that and moments like that.'

The star did say she hasn't completely ruled out revisiting Hear'Say and will be front row when they do get back onstage, though she quipped she has no idea if she remembers all the lyrics.

She said: 'I would say never say never about anything because, as I said earlier to you guys, you know, I don't really agree on revisiting the past.'

Myleene reiterated that nothing is 'set in stone' yet, as far as she's aware.

She said: 'Like I said before, until there's things set in stone, it's very difficult to commit to something that's so up in the air. And I think they're just figuring things out as well. But I really do appreciate that they came and included me.'

Fans had speculated the group were planning to reunite when they brought back their Instagram page with a tease.

They shared a screen recording of a WhatsApp chat, in which Danny wrote: 'Wow... can you believe the response to that tour clip we posted?!', referencing a video they had shared.

Suzanne replied: 'I know right, amazing! Ahhh the memories... can you believe it was 25 years ago?!'

Noel then commented: 'OK, so hear me out... '

Kym asked: 'Go on.'

Noel then added: 'Fancy getting the band back together?'

While Myleene was included as a member of the chat, she didn't send a message and her own Instagram account wasn't tagged.

The post was shared 24 years to the day since Hear'Say announced they were going their separate ways, just one year after they first formed on reality show, Popstars.

Despite only being together for a short while, the band developed a devoted fan base, who were quick to share their excitement about the news.

Posting underneath the announcement, they said: 'It's happening! After ruining my childhood on the 1st October 2002, you have managed to reclaim the date'; 'It's happening!'; 'Thursday, Thursday.. So good to me';

'The best day ever!'; 'Take my money! Honestly dreams do come true!'; 'Needed this for the past 25 years'; 'Not a want, a need!'; 'We have to!'

Hear'Say had initially planned to get back together for their 20th anniversary, but the plans were hit by multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and various personal issues, so they eventually pulled the plug entirely.

The group were one of the earliest major UK TV-created pop groups, formed through ITV's Popstars in 2000–01.

The band were selected from thousands of applicants, with the formation of the band being documented on television.

Their debut single, Pure and Simple, was a phenomenon and went to No.1 in the UK selling 549,823 copies in its first week, setting a record at the time for a debut single.

Kym left the group in January 2002 and was replaced by Johnny Shentall. The new lineup released Lovin' Is Easy, but it didn't reproduce the group's earlier success.
