Molly-Mae Hague became emotional as she opened up on how ex-fiancé Tommy Fury betrayed her at her sister Zoe's wedding.

The Love Island star, 25, revealed she 'begged' Tommy to stay sober during the special family event in her new documentary Behind It All, which was released on Prime Video on Friday.

It comes after Tommy claimed the reasons why he and Molly split in August, saying it was because he had become dependent on alcohol following a boxing injury.

And in her new six-part documentary, Molly had a heart-to-heart with her mother Debbie, and explained she is 'traumatised and hurt' by what Tommy put her through.

She said: 'He's never had an alcohol problem, but alcohol caused problems for us. It got to a point where I wasn't looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much.

Breaking down in tears, Molly continued: 'At my sisters wedding I pleaded with Tommy, like I begged him to not drink and it's just really sad. I don't know why I'm crying now, it's just so sad but it affected me and that's why my relationship with alcohol is so damaged.

'I just know that isn't who he wants to be, he doesn't want this.'

She added: 'I feel traumatised by the last couple of months, when I see him, I see all that trauma. I am angry at him and I am very hurt.

'I think he hopes in the future we will be back together as a family. Obviously I never ever wanted Bambi to come from a broken home.'

Speaking to the camera, Debbie said: 'I'm very fond of Tommy. He looked after Molly, made her laugh, treated her well for a long time. That outweighed the not so great stuff going on.

'She was going to through the turmoil of a break up and the heartbreak but moving forward she wouldn't have endlessly nights worrying'

Debbie then tells Molly: 'Can I be honest? Over the years there were so many occasions that I witnessed myself that made me beyond worried for you.'

Molly replies: 'There were issues going on for him that was causing our relationships to have issues.

'He wanted to have the family life and the life of a 25-year-old boy with no responsibilities. The two don't go hand in hand.'

Molly opened up on the period following her parent's split (L-R Mum Debbie, Molly-Mae, sister Zoe and dad Stephen)

Debbie adds: 'It is heartbreaking how alcohol has really messed things up.'

Molly-Mae admitted she has 'anxiety about alcohol' after her parents divorce caused her mother to begin 'drinking too much'.

She got candid as she recalled how her mum Debbie 'really struggled' after the breakdown of her marriage to Molly's dad, Stephen Hague, and 'turned to alcohol to cope'.

While not completely tee-total, Molly-Mae rarely drinks and has voiced a reluctance to go on boozy nights out.

Molly said to the camera: 'I never wanted to be with someone who drank because my mum had a period of time in her life where her marriage of 25 years had ended and she turned to drink more than she should have.

'I was about 14/15 and saw her in some states going through a vulnerable time, so I have never been around it in a positive life.'

The first three episodes of the show launched exclusively on Prime Video globally on January 17 and the latter three episodes will drop in Spring 2025.

On Wednesday, Tommy, 25, gave an emotional interview with Men's Health -carefully timed days before the release of Molly-Mae's documentary - where he revealed his own drinking problem for the first time and admitted his mental health was 'in the pan'.

Speaking to the camera, Debbie said: 'I'm very fond of Tommy. He looked after Molly, made her laugh, treated her well for a long time. That outweighed the not so great stuff going on'

It comes after her ex-fiancé Tommy Fury finally detailed the reasons why he and Molly split in August, saying it was because he had become dependent on alcohol following a boxing injury (pictured together)

Amid rumours that their August 2024 break-up was a publicity stunt, Tommy spoke candidly about his mental-health battle and insisted he has never cheated on Molly-Mae - calling rumours about other women 'complete and utter b***ocks '.

'The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore,' he confessed.

'It kills me to say it, [but] it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. People go through different things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.'

Tommy explained how his problems started when he underwent reconstructive surgery in January 2024, after snapping all the ligaments in his hand in 2019 .

He stated that his 'mental health was in the pan' during his recovery from surgery, which came off the back of 'the best year I've ever had' in 2023 which saw both his career and life with Molly flourish.

The pair - who were the runners-up on reality TV show Love Island season five in 2019 - got engaged in 2023, months after welcoming their daughter Bambi.

Explaining how a large part of his identity was snatched away from him when he could no longer train, Tommy said his diet and fitness were the first things he let slip before he turned to alcohol.

'I’ve only lived for training and my family, and that was all snatched away from me. So what I did for fun is I started to drink quite a lot. I found that's what made me feel better,' he said, adding: 'I wanted the endorphins that I’d get when I’d finish a good session, when I’d finish sparring, when I’d finish fighting.'

Admitting that he would go out most nights and drink to 'get black-out drunk', he said he replaced his intense training camp schedule by 'smashing Guinness left and centre and then later on in the night shots would come out'.

Tommy's relationship soon began to suffer but he has insisted that he never cheated on Molly and also maintained his close bond with his daughter Bambi during the dark period.

Throughout last year, Tommy was pictured on rowdy nights out with his mates - including a weekend in Budapest where he was pictured with a former Miss Hungary .

There have been hard times Molly has resisted sharing with her large following out of respect to Tommy, who she fell for on Love Island in 2019

He was also snapped at an event at the Hungary Opera House with another brunette woman during the same boozy trip. The trip is said to have contributed to their split.

'Cheating was never a thing,' Tommy insisted. 'You can ask Molly this yourself. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing. You need to get a grip of it.

'If you're in the same spot as me, where you just think that it's going to cure all your problems, it doesn’t. You wake up even worse and you want to drink more to try and feel happy again. That's the cycle of it.'

Molly, who was filmed kissing her ex on New Year's Eve, admits in the documentary that she wants to get back together with Tommy.

Molly-Mae announced her shock split from Tommy, also 25, in August five years after they met on ITV reality dating show, Love Island.

She tells the camera: 'I don't know what the future holds for us, but I would be lying if I said my love just disappeared over night.'

In a teaser clip for the last three episodes of the series, Molly looks shocked as she reacts to her New Year kiss with Tommy coming out in the press.

It has been claimed that Molly-Mae and Tommy's reunion will be a focus in her new Prime TV show.

Molly is on a publicity blitz for the show this week, amid claims that she and Tommy have enjoyed a series of secret dates.

Their romantic reunion is set to feature in the show as they continue to film new scenes for the next batch of episodes, due to be released in Spring.

For the past six months, Molly has been followed by a camera crew who have captured every moment of her life.

The star has been filmed during her most vulnerable moments as she and Tommy parted ways and throughout the launch of her fashion brand Maebe all while solo parenting daughter Bambi.

And she insists although it plays a major part in the show, Behind It All offers a lot more than capturing her breakup for the small screen.

She said: 'It is definitely so much more than a breakup documentary.

'Obviously, we do talk about the breakup, discuss the breakup and we are very honest in what we share about the breakup.

'But it's so much more than a breakup documentary, it focuses on parts of my life that I haven't delved into before like right now we are still filming but we talk a lot in the following three episodes, we touch on motherhood, body confidence, running my two businesses, and doing all of that while having a two-year-old and navigating it all through a breakup has been a really challenging time.'

The Love Island stars have faced backlash as their split was branded a 'publicity stunt' by fans.

A TV insider has said Molly and Tommy's rocky relationship is set to 'come full circle' during the series which could prompt even more fans to tune in.

A source told The Sun: 'The timing of them getting back together couldn't be more convenient, as it will see their romance come full circle with fans watching on through the documentary.

Molly is on a publicity blitz for the release of her Prime Video documentary this week, in which she will give her side of the split

'There was already huge interest in the programme, even before the events of the past week. But now there's likely to be even more people watching.

'The trailer seemed to suggest there will be lots of detail about the stress Molly went through during their high-profile break up, but there was no hint of them getting back together.

'Which means the creators of the documentary - which is still being filmed - were either taken by surprise by the reunion or have had to keep it top secret for some time.'

Fans of Molly-Mae have been quick to brand the breakup a 'PR tool' claiming the 'stunt' helped further Tommy's book and documentary as well as Molly-Mae's clothing line.

MailOnline has contacted Molly-Mae's representative who has declined to comment.

Molly-Mae: Behind It All eps 1-3 launch exclusively on Prime Video on 17th January. The latter three episodes will drop in Spring 2025.
