Miranda Kerr has lifted the lid on the surprising beauty ritual she credits for her famously flawless complexion – and it comes with one unexpected requirement.

The Australian supermodel, 43, candidly revealed the cosmetic procedures she regularly undergoes to maintain her youthful glow during an appearance on Let's Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari.

The former Victoria's Secret Angel admitted she's obsessed with high-tech skincare, revealing her home is packed with red light therapy devices, laser mats and microcurrent treatments.

'I love it, it's something I have been into for a while! I have red lights and a laser mat for my body, I have it all going on!' Miranda said.

She then made an amusing confession about getting the most out of the treatments.

The skincare mogul admitted she'd initially been using the devices incorrectly before discovering they work best when fully exposed.

'I didn't realise you are really meant to be in it naked! You are not supposed to be in it in your pyjamas!' Miranda joked.

She finished by saying that she had finally learned what to prioritise when it came to her ongoing beauty routine.

'At 43 I am looking at all these things. At the end of the day, having healthy skin is the most beautiful thing,' she said.

The candid admission offered a rare glimpse into the beauty routine behind the model's enviable complexion.

Elsewhere in the chat, Miranda spoke about her unique health regimen, revealing the strict diet she follows every day.

Miranda, who shares 15-year-old Flynn with actor Orlando Bloom and sons Hart, eight, Myles, six, and Pierre, two, with Evan Spiegel, said her mornings begin with a drink she has consumed since she was a teenager.

'I've been drinking noni juice since I was 13. I'm 43 - [that's] 30 years!' she said.

'Noni juice is a superfood, superfruit. It originates from Tahiti, but it can grow in other parts of the world like Australia too.'

Miranda said she takes a 30ml shot every morning because it is packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals - and even gives some to her youngest child.

The Sydney-born model then follows it with a homemade tea made from marshmallow leaf, as it is 'good for the gut lining'.

Her early morning ritual also includes coconut yoghurt with a dollop of locally-sourced honey as well as a 'bite of a banana'.

Only after completing her wellness routine does Miranda allow herself her morning coffee.

Miranda said she avoids traditional cow's milk and instead uses coconut milk in her coffee.

As for her chosen brand of brew, Miranda said she only drinks Fabula coffee as it is 'mould-free and lead-free'.

While Miranda admitted she is 'not much of a fruit girl', she does enjoy bananas as an easy snack.

'A banana is a great snack when you have to be on the run. It's got good potassium and it's something quick.'
