Minka Kelly, 46, gives rare look at blended family life with rock star boyfriend Dan Reynolds, 38

Minka Kelly took to Instagram on Thursday with rare photos featuring boyfriend Dan Reynolds and his kids.

The 46-year-old actress and 38-year-old Imagine Dragons frontman enjoyed a trip to Disneyland, and Kelly captioned the wholesome pictures, 'No place I'd rather be.' 

One snapshot showed Kelly and Reynolds with a large group that appeared to include the singer's brood, as well as Kelly's friend Araceli Valdes de McElroy, who brought along her four children and husband.

Reynolds was previously married to Aja Volkman from 2011 until they announced their split in September 2022.

Their divorce was finalized in March 2024 and the exes agreed to shared custody of Arrow, who will turn 14 in August, twins Gia and Coco, nine, and Valentine, six.

Kelly's social media post comes one month after she and Reynolds made their red carpet debut at the annual MOCA Gala.

They were first romantically linked after being spotted together in Los Angeles in November 2022.

In July 2024 the musician gushed about their bond and said they've been 'attached at the hip' since they first hit it off.

In an interview with People, he opened up about the early days of their romance, sharing that he was connected to the actress through a mutual friend.

'After about a month we met in person, and ever since then, we've been attached at the hip. 

'Minka and I are in a really happy, healthy relationship,' he detailed to the outlet.

He also discussed his girlfriend's dynamic with his children, saying, 'The kids really love Minka and really love their mom, and that's okay. We view it as kind of bonuses to the family: more people to love, more people to help.

'We've just been really careful with that and slow with navigating how to bring Minka in to that conversation. She's done a really incredible job of being sensitive and careful on her end as well.'

In regards to their successful relationship, Reynolds pointed to 'really great therapists' and Kelly's bond with the children.

Kelly paid tribute to Reynolds in a gushing Instagram post for his birthday in July 2025. 

She shared a single photo of them together and effused in the caption, 'This beautiful man has healed wounds in me he did not inflict – simply by being himself. 

'By embodying true masculinity. The kind that is vulnerable, honest and loving.'

The heartfelt note continued, 'I thought I knew kindness. Love. Patience. Generosity. Care. I thought I knew how to be gentle. And then I met him.

'Watching him father and love his babies. Honoring and respecting their beautiful mother. Doing everything he can to be absolutely everything everyone needs from him. Finding ways every day to light up the lives of the ones so lucky enough to be loved by him.'

She said elsewhere in the message, 'Thank you for loving me. Thank you for blessing my life in ways I never thought possible – but always dreamed of.'
