This rating, coming out of nowhere, just so happened to pop up in the days leading up to Summer Game Fest where a host of new game announcements are expected to occur. This certainly could just be a coincidence, but the timing may indicate one of the big reveals of the night.

In case somehow you aren't aware, Minecraft is one of the best selling games of all time. Almost ten years ago today, the game surpassed 100m copies sold, and it has only continued to dominate ever since.

It is so popular in fact, that a film adaption of the video game surpassed $1bn in box office revenue, and a Minecraft theme park is set to open in the UK next year.

As of writing, it's unclear when Minecraft's Switch 2 version will release, but more information is sure to be announced in the near future, so keep an eye out.
