Milania Giudice reached out to wish her sister Gabriella a happy 22nd birthday on Sunday, just weeks after a troubling incident at a Florida airport involving her family.

The 20-year-old daughter of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has been under the care of health professionals but managed to post a few kind words for her sibling on Sunday.

'Happy birthday,' Milania wrote on Instagram. 'You really are the best sister I could ever ask for. You're genuinely one of the smartest people I know, and I'm so proud of the person you are.'

The TV personality admitted she had put Gabriella 'through a lot over the years.'

'I know I haven't always made being my sister easy, but you've always been there for me, accepted me, and loved me through everything,' Milania continued.

'I've always told you that you're literally Cinderella in real life, and even with the black hair now, I still stand by it,' she added, with a reference to her sister's latest hair-color switch.

Milania concluded her post by writing: 'I can't believe you're 22 already. Time really flies. I love you so much and I'm so lucky to have you as my sister.'

Accompanying her tribute was a carousel of throwback photos showing the sisters celebrating previous birthdays and showing off their Halloween costumes as youngsters, and posing with their mom, Teresa, 54,  their dad, Joe Giudice, also 54, and their two other sisters, Gia, 25, and Audriana, 17.

Gabriella responded in the comments: 'I love you so much.'

Teresa also let her feelings known, too, writing: 'Happy birthday. Love you.'

The family love on social media comes after police were called to Tampa International Airport on September 23 because Milania was experiencing 'suicidal thoughts' and 'mental breakdown' after being released from St Anthony's Hospital in St Petersburg, Florida.

According to TMZ, Milania clashed with her mother and sister Gia before running away in the terminal.

Officers searched the airport, checking surveillance footage and Milania's cellphone location. She was eventually found, and no one was arrested or taken to the hospital, the outlet reported.

In body cam footage obtained by TMZ, Teresa was seen telling police that Milania allegedly had fentanyl in her system during a prior incident, which took place before she was hospitalized at the mental health facility under Florida's Baker Act.

In the footage, Milania could be heard saying that she had been 'laced' with the drug, while Teresa repeatedly told Milania that she's trying to 'save her life.'

Back in May, Gabriella called 911 from the family's home in New Jersey after Milania began to act erratically, 'throwing food [and] candles' during a 'domestic violence dispute,' according to a police report obtained by Page Six.

Milania was arrested and charged with one count of simple assault. She was booked and released pending her court appearance, which was postponed from July 14 to December 1, following a request from her attorney, per Page Six.

In a statement released on September 28, Teresa said, 'As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health, safety, and well-being of my children.

'The past few months have been incredibly difficult for our family, and I feel it is important to say something while also protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time in her life.'

Teresa continued: 'Grief affects everyone differently, and watching your child try to process that kind of loss is something no parent can ever truly prepare for. Right now, my only focus is my daughter - making sure she is surrounded by love, family, support, and the care she needs.

'I understand that because our family has lived much of our lives in the public eye, there will naturally be questions and speculation. But Milania is my daughter before she is anything else.

'She is a young woman going through an incredibly difficult and deeply personal time, and she deserves the opportunity to heal without every moment of her pain being analyzed publicly.'

Teresa and the girls' father, Joe, finalized their divorce in September 2020 after separating in late 2019.

Both were charged with 41 federal counts, including conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, bankruptcy fraud, and making false statements on loan applications, to which they pleaded guilty in March 2014.

Teresa served 11 months of a 15-month prison sentence in 2015, while Joe served a 41-month sentence ending in 2019 before being deported to his native Italy. He moved to the Bahamas in 2021.

The reality star wed businessman Luis Ruelas in 2022.
