Mick Jagger's youngest son Deveraux was the spitting image of his famous father as he celebrated his eighth birthday with the rocker and his mother Melanie Hamrick.

Melanie, 37, took to her Instagram to post a sweet tribute to the birthday boy, sharing a slew of family snaps where Deveraux displayed his uncanny resemblance to the Rolling Stones star, 81.

The photos showed the family having fun in Italy, with visits to the beach, tucking into ice creams and enjoying a inflatable waterslide.

And in the caption, the former ballet dancer and author was full of praise for her little boy, gushing: 'One of my favorite days of the year !!!!! ❤️DEVS 8 ❤️❤️❤️❤️ No words for how wonderful ✨brilliant ✨beautiful and kind Dev is'.

Fans flooded the comments with congratulatory birthday messages, while many couldn't help but point out how similar Deveraux looked to a young Mick.

They wrote: 'Happy Birthday to Dev! The cutest little Mick lookalike'; 'Mini Mike and his amazing Mami & Dad'.

'Holy crow.. that lil man is a spot on Mini Mick!'; 'He is getting so big! He really is going to be the blonde version of his dad ❤️'.

'he is a little Mick!!'; 'So cute!!! And he looks so much like Mick! Genetics is real!!! Lolol Happy Birthday Dev!!!'

It comes after Melanie revealed that looks aren't the only thing Deveraux has inherited from Mick, as she explained that he also has an 'amazing' singing voice.

She confessed in September that the youngster could be lining up for a musical future just like his rockstar dad.

However, Melanie insisted that she would never want to be a pushy 'stage parent' with her son and put any pressure on him.

She told Hello! Magazine: 'When my son was little, we would do the hokey cokey occasionally but now he will be like, "Mom it's not cool". How is he a teenager already?

'I can't wait to see what he does. But I don't want to put pressure on him as between Mick and I, that's a lot of pressure.

'When I hear him sing in school shows I say things like "Oh my God, his singing voice was amazing, did everyone hear that?" And then I think "Melanie let him be a kid! Don't be a stage parent!"'

Melanie gave birth to Deveraux 'Devi' Jagger in December 2016, when she was 29 years old and Mick was 73, with him being her first child and Mick's eighth.

Mick is also father to Karis, 54, with Marsha Hunt; Jade, 53 with ex-wife Bianca Jagger; Elizabeth, 40, James, 39, Georgia May, 32, and Gabriel, 27, with ex-wife Jerry Hall); and Lucas, 25, with Luciana Gimenez Morad.

Mick and Melanie first met in February 2014 while they were both on tour at a Stone's concert.

They didn't become closer until the singer invited Melanie later on to join him for the rock band's stop in Zurich.

After retiring from ballet in 2019, Melanie began a career as an author, releasing her debut novel, First Position, last year - described as a 'ballet bonkbuster'.

While she released her second ballet-based romance novel, The Unraveling, in August this year.

She recently revealed what Mick really thinks about her very racy romance novels and admitted that she finds sex scenes the 'easiest' part of her stories to write.

Speaking to The Times and listing the vocabulary she uses for sexy scenes she said: 'Thrusting, throbbing, pulsating. Just go to the thesaurus. That's what Mick said - he's, like, 'Throbbing was used a lot in book two.''

She added of writing sex scenes: 'It's like choreographing a dance. It's a movement and I'm writing movements down.'

In the interview she also opened up about their large age gap saying that she simply 'doesn't think about it' and accepts that everyone is going to have their opinion and as long as she isn't hurting anyone it is fine.
