Clear sunny weather in a Metaphor ReFantazio cut scene

The weather system in Metaphor: ReFantazio can be a subtle but frequent annoyance, more so as time goes by in the Atlus RPG's very lengthy campaign. While its many enemies are more powerful in bad weather, they also earn you more EXP for farming. However, this also won't earn you the extra Turn Icon you usually get when striking an enemy weakness with the right type of attack. Because of this, it's never a good idea to enter a dungeon during bad weather if you want an easier time traversing through its long passageways to a boss in one calendar day.

However, there is a way players can check the weather in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and there is only one that can be approached in the game to change it as well. However, you must reach a particular point in the game to unlock this weather-changing ability. This will take even more persistence than what is needed to get a Queen's Honey Jar in Metaphor: ReFantazio for a special Trophy, but the ability to clear bad weather will give you much more flexibility to spend your limited free time dungeon crawling as you please compared to normal.

How To Check The Weather

Go To Your Local Seer

To check the current and upcoming weather, Metaphor: ReFantazio players by talking to a Seer. For the price of 250 Reeve, a Seer is available in every major city in the game to talk to and give you a forecast of the weather for the next three days in every map location you have visited so far. Each Seer looks different, but you can easily identify them by looking out for the crystal ball icon above their head.

This Metaphor: ReFantazio Archetypes tier list will tell you which of the many classes available in the game are the best to use in the huge campaign.

This will hopefully give you more ability to plan your free time in advance based on which days have bad weather and which days they are clear. For example, if you were going to spend the next day progressing through the latest dungeon before the Seer tells you the weather will be bad, you can switch to doing it the next day to make an easier time for yourself. On the other hand, if you want stronger enemies to farm more EXP for leveling up, you can also plan your next few days accordingly, depending on your preference.

How To Change The Weather

Progress Through The Campaign

Edeni, who can change the weather in Metaphor ReFantazio

You can only change the weather in Metaphor: ReFantazio by talking to Edeni after you finish the chapter of the main story concerning the fourth town of the campaign. Once you have cleared the Dragon Temple dungeon and defeated Homo Margo, being allowed to explore once again after completing this part of the story will allow you to go up to Edeni by the Virga Island's Dragon Statue and ask him to change the weather of one location.

Edeni can also be used to check the weather as well instead of a Seer once you unlock him.

Keep in mind that this can only be done for three days, including the day you make the request. It's as easy as unlocking the Wary Shopkeep and his full assortment of inventory in Metaphor: ReFantazio. However, utilizing this new in-game ability to change the weather with Edini does not come for free; in exchange for his services, you will need to give him 20 units of Marbled Bluefin Tuna or Almighty God Stew.

How To Get Marbled Bluefin Tuna & Almighty Gold Stew

Cooking & The Fishmonger

Metaphor ReFantazio gameplay talking to the Fervent Fishmonger to buy Marbled Bluefin Tuna

Marbled Bluefin Tuna is the easiest of the two to get, obtainable in Metaphor: ReFantazio by purchasing them from the Fervent Fishmonger in Brilehaven at the cost of 1000 Reeve each. To get Almighty God Stew in the game, you need to cook the recipe of one Limp Goldfish, one Mellow Milk, and one Lumbiee together. While 1000 Reeve for a single Marbled Bluefin Tuna sounds expensive, it shouldn't be too hard on your in-game wallet if you know how to farm money. Plus, it doesn't cost you any calendar free time to get any.

Putting together an Almighty Gold Stew, however, does require you to spend part of your day cooking it unless you've learned how to unlock Speed Cooking. With Marbled Bluefin Tuna, you can purchase as many as you need without losing any extra time. As long as you check in your local Seers and talk to Edini, you can check and change the weather in Metaphor: ReFantazio without issue.
