Maya Jama has revealed the incredible advice Rihanna once gave her that she swears by as she opened up at the Club Poppi launch in London on Thursday evening.
The presenter, 31, who has been an open admirer of the Grammy-Award winning singer, admitted she gets ‘nervous’ all the time in the industry especially when attending star-studded events.
After a busy few weeks fronting Love Island and presenting a BRIT Award, Maya let her hair down on the fun night out.
At the bash, held at 83 Rivington Street, she told Daily Mail that she does feel the pressure to fit in in the industry but she has always followed the advice Rihanna shared with her.
Maya said: ‘I always get so nervous [at events].
‘But Rihanna once told me to just pretend I know what I’m doing, and here I am. It works.'

Maya looked out of this world in a figure-hugging black leather midi dress at the party.
The ITV star elevated her frame in coordinated knee high boots as she struck a pose for cameras.
She was joined by the likes of rising star Skye Newman, model Leomie Anderson and singer Rose Gray.
Romeo Beckham's model ex-girlfriend Mia Regan risked an awkward encounter with his current partner Kim, who was DJing at the event.
It comes after Maya shared an ab-flashing video from the gym on TikTok on Tuesday night in which she bemoaned being 'naturally skinny'.
The Love Island host suffered a horrendous bout of food poisoning while she was away and feels that she has lost too much weight.
Flashing her abs in a sports bra, Maya explained that she prefers a thicker looking body and will be doing weight training and eating late to fill out.
Maya said: 'I don't love that since Ozempic, anyone that's slim, they're like Ozempic, Ozempic, Ozempic.
'Some of us are naturally marga [skinny] and we don't wanna be. We like being thicker, but it's hard so just bear that in mind, alright.
'I know there's no sympathy for the slimmers but... it's a bit hard out here sometimes.'
She continued: 'My tip for the girlies that are trying to gain though, is weight lift. I've gained weight before and I will do it again.
'And eat late. I don't know if this is proper advice but I eat late at night and then feel like it stays on my body, so let's see.'
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, Maya revealed: 'Rihanna once told me to just pretend I know what I’m doing, and here I am. It works'
She captioned the post with: 'Food poisoning in South Africa didn't help lol.'
In January, Maya told Women's Health which three exercises have made the biggest difference to her strength and fitness.
She said: 'Squats, push-ups and kickbacks with ankle weights.
'Squats really work the glutes, which is a must. Push-ups do wonders for my core. I love kickbacks because they’re great for firming and toning.’
Maya strength trains with her personal trainer Warren Whitely and the publication writes that regular reformer Pilates at Nobu London is also a part of her routine.
