Matt Willis celebrated his wife Emma's 50th birthday with a sweet Instagram post on Wednesday.

The Busted star, 42, who has been married to Emma since 2008, shared a montage of throwback snaps of their lives over the years as he called her 'my everything'.

In the first photo, Emma looked the picture of happiness as she posed with her delicious chocolate birthday cake.

Matt then followed up with photos of Emma's milestones which included being in hospital just before she gave birth to one of their three children, partying at a club, looking exhausted at Disneyland and a fun snap with Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl

He wrote: '50 looks good on you bab. Love this woman more than I could ever put into words. Literally all I want to do is hang out with you.

'You are my everything. Happy birthday @emmawillisofficial . Can’t wait to do the next 50 together xxx'.

Matt and Emma's showbiz pals took to the comment section to share their birthday wishes.

Giovanna Fletcher commented a red love heart emoji while Davinia Taylor typed: 'Beautiful woman and soul'.

Last month, Matt revealed he married Emma just three days after he came out of rehab.

The singer, who is now sober, admitted their wedding day was blighted by his stint in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction, as he reflected 'I shouldn't have been there really when I think about it.'

The musician has been open about his struggles to stay sober after being launched to fame at just 19 years old when he joined his band.

He entered rehab three times before he turned 25 - including just one month before he married Emma in 2008, after she issued him with an ultimatum about his substance abuse.

Speaking in an emotional episode of his podcast On The Mend, Matt explained how he spiralled into a booze and drugs binge when Emma was abroad filming a TV show weeks before their wedding.

'That two weeks she was away, I was worse than I've ever been,' he admitted, explaining how his '24/7' drinking left him fearing he was 'going to die'.

Another snap showed an exhausted-looking Emma managing the crowds at Disneyland with a double pram

He also shared a snap from when they dressed up in school uniform - perhaps a nod to Busted's hit That's What I Go To School For

Matt's drugs counsellor and his Busted tour manager got the star to a rehab centre in Bournemouth only for him to make a run for it as soon as he reached the door.

He ended up buying 'as much alcohol as [he] could' from a nearby shop, got 'absolutely wasted' and passed out in the street.

It was a stranger who found him and physically carried him through the door of the rehab centre.

That proved to be a turning point for Matt, who admitted: 'I put my head down and I was like, "Right, I'm going to do everything I'm told. I'm going to listen to advice. I'm going to take everything on".

'And I did that because I had a wedding coming up and I got out of that rehab on the Thursday and I got married on the Saturday morning.'

The couple renewed their vows in 2018 to mark their tenth anniversary.
