Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls showed up for the Sony State of Play June 2026 presentation with a first look at new playable characters Carnage, Green Goblin, and Magneto.
Doctor Doom is one Marvel villain players have been looking forward to for some time. His three teammates, however, bring brand-new reveals, with footage shown during the presentation highlighting the different ways each can dismantle Iron Man, Storm, and Spider-Man, specifically.
Gameplay for the roster additions revealed that the trio will be joining Knights of Doom team leader Doctor Doom when developer Arc System Works’ comic book fighting game launches August 6, 2026. You can see the gameplay reveal for Carnage, Green Goblin, and Magneto in Marvel Tokon below.
Marvel Tokon players started getting their hopes up for a Carnage reveal following a cleverly disguised teaser from a few weeks ago. It's for that reason that some may not be too caught off guard to see him join today, but aside from a few leaks and rumors, Magneto and Green Goblin present quite the surprise. The gameplay trailer also came with a sneak peek at a new stage: New York Night.
Arc System Works showing gameplay for three new playable supervillains is undeniably the highlight of its presence at State of Play, but the footage came with a few other tidbits for fans to latch onto. You'd be forgiven for forgetting that the trailer landed its first punch with a first look at The Champion, for example. The key art featured at the end of the video is also new and comes courtesy of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls main character artist Yuki Kato.
The Marvel Tokon team at Arc System Works took to the PlayStation.blog to confirm that, with the introduction of the Knights of Doom, only one superpowered team has yet to be revealed. Additionally, Evo 2026 attendees will be able to try a demo featuring Magneto and the new New York Night stage when the show comes to Las Vegas June 26, 2026.
