Margot Robbie stuns in Elizabeth Taylor's iconic necklace as she is joined by Jacob Elordi at Wuthering Heights premiere in LA

Margot Robbie wore one of Elizabeth Taylor's most iconic jewelry pieces to the Los Angeles premiere of Wuthering Heights with her hunky costar Jacob Elordi on Wednesday night.

The Oscar nominee, 35, plays the lead role of Catherine Earnshaw in director Emerald Fennell's racy R-rated film adaptation of Emily Bronte's classic novel, with Elordi taking on the role of love interest Heathcliff.

For the world premiere event, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre, Robbie waltzed onto the red carpet in a breathtaking couture gown by Schiaparelli.

But it was Taylor's Taj Mahal diamond necklace, which is worth a reported $8 million, that truly stole the show.

Robbie wore the glitzy heart-shaped pendant high up on her neck with the gold chain falling down her back.

The necklace was famously gifted to Taylor by her fifth husband Richard Burton 54 years ago for her 40th birthday as is among the most recognizable pieces in the late Hollywood star's legendary jewelry collection.

The vintage necklace paired beautifully with Robbie's couture gown, which featured a strapless nude illusion bodice with black lace. 

The skirt of the dress hugged the Australian beauty's hips before flaring out to create a dramatic mermaid-style silhouette.

The skirt was made of black velvet fabric, which faded to a deep red shade - a nod to the film's moody color palette - towards the lower half of the dress.

Robbie's blonde hair was styled in a romantic bun with curled strands left out to frame her face.

The mother-of-one had a noticeable red flush to her cheeks while her lips were painted a rosy-nude tone.

As for her eye makeup, Robbie kept it extremely minimal with just a wash of brown on the lids and light application of mascara.

After getting in her stunning solo shots, Robbie reunited with her onscreen lover Elordi on the red carpet.

The duo, who have admitted to being 'obsessed' with one another, sent fans into a frenzy by holding hands at the star-studded event.

Elordi towered over the Barbie star in a chic all-black outfit that included a boxy blazer, a button-up shirt and high-waisted trousers.

While the chemistry between Robbie and Elordi is palpable, both of the A-list stars happen to be in relationships.

Robbie has been married to film producer Tom Ackerley, 35, since 2016, with whom she shares one child. 

The couple co-founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment, which produced Wuthering Heights.

Ackerley stood proudly beside his superstar wife at Wednesday's premiere in a classic black tuxedo. 

Meanwhile, Elordi has been in an on/off romance with Full House star Lori Loughlin's look-alike daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli, 26, since 2021. Unlike Robbie's better half, Giannulli did not appear to attend the premiere. 

Earlier this week, Robbie raised eyebrows when she gifted Elordi a stunning matching signet ring.

Each of the beautiful rings features an image of two skeletons embracing, and the words 'Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.'

Both of the signet rings are engraved with the initials of Cathy and Heathcliff- the doomed lovers played by Margot and Jacob in the film.

Another feature is the inscription '1847-2026', a reference to the year that saw the publication of Brontë's classic novel - and the release of the new Wuthering Heights film.

While Elordi appeared to be wearing his ring from Robbie at the LA premiere, the blonde beauty's hand placement made it difficult to tell if she was wearing hers.

Wuthering Heights director Emerald Fennell was also in attendance as she graced the red carpet in a plunging black gown.

Charli xcx, who created an original soundtrack for Wuthering Heights, put on a busty display in a glimmering gold corset gown.

The Grammy-winner's frock had exaggerated hips and a frilly tulle overlay, adding to the jaw-dropping drama of the look.

She wore her jet black hair down, letting it fall down her back in waves.

Hong Chau, who stars alongside Elordi and Robbie as Elly Dean in the upcoming R-rated feature, turned heads in a gray plaid strapless dress layered over a blue gingham shirt.

The actress, 46, who has appeared in acclaimed films like The Whale (2022) and Downsizing (2017), stood on blue heels with white ankle straps. 

Cara Delevingne flaunted her ultra tiny waist in a purple and black corset top styled with a glitchy black velvet skirt that matched her opera gloves.

The supermodel, 33, accessorized with a sexy choker necklace and added height to her already statuesque frame with sky-high black heels. 

Reese Witherspoon's mini-me daughter Ava Phillippe stunned onlookers in a flirty black and white polkadot dress.

The nepo baby, 26, whose dad is 90s heartthrob Ryan Phillippe, stood on tall black heels and wore her jaw-length blonde hair in bouncy curls.

Shazad Latif, 37, who stars as Edgar Linton in Wuthering Heights, smoldered for shutterbugs in a chic black coat worn over a white dress shirt and black tie. 

Alison Oliver, 28, who plays Isabella Linton in the upcoming film, modeled an eye-catching strapless dress with a side cutout that exposed a frilly green underskirt.

Lisa Rinna's model daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin, 27, slipped into a racy black fringe frock that left little to the imagination. 

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter Scout Willis, 34, flashed a sweet smile as she hit the red carpet in a flowing yellow number.
