Margaret Qualley posed for a sizzling new shoot for Vanity Fair alongside an interview with the esteemed publication, which did not go to plan.

The nepo-baby, 31, who is the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell and model Paul J Qualley, looked incredible in a series of racy snaps, including a show-stopping cover image showing her draped in an 'I Love NY' tee.

Another shot saw the stunner, who is married to musician and producer Jack Antonoff, bend low and show off her eye-popping cleavage and endless legs, with her famously striking pout on full display.

The exposing shoot came alongside an interview with Marisa Meltzer, who laid bare the intricacies of the interview, which she was forced to do in two takes.

In the write-up, Marisa revealed her questions were met with guarded answers, which she branded 'squirming, circumspect and reluctant', meaning they eventually wound up meeting twice following the awkward first meet.

Margaret looked incredible in the shoot, in which stripped off entirely with just the sequinned tourist tee used to cover her modesty.

In the accompanying interview, Marisa reveals the duo's first meeting took place at Clark's, a diner in Brooklyn Heights, where the first thing Margaret said was: 'I'll be back in 10 minutes', before inviting her to her house and then rescinding the offer.

She goes on to detail how the star grew cagey over the topics of her famous husband and pals, including Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz and Cara Delevingne.

Marisa opened her article with: 'At first, the actor was reluctant to talk about her inner life', before revealing she was 'squirming visibly' when asked about her mother.

Seemingly disheartened by the chat, Marisa does reach out to a slew of her co-stars all of whom sang huge praise for the star - with Ethan Hawke, Jacob Elordi and Aubrey Plaza all gushing over their 'charming' colleague.

Marisa then revealed: 'After encountering Qualley at the Brooklyn diner and interviewing her costars, and after she admits to being guarded in our first meeting, I get a text from her with a kind of manifesto about life...

'"I love my husband, my family. I love dancing and horses. I love the moon. Happy crying is the best. I love listening to Tara Brach and books on tape. And anything Jack writes. Female friendships are so holy, shout out Talia Ryder...

'"My sister was my first soulmate. I wanna die on a farm. I need to learn how to drive stick, my brother tried to teach me but I was 12 and it didn't land. Smokey, dog, god. I love you world, thank you for having me".'

She reveals they later met at Chez Nous in NYC's Greenwich Village for wine and the experience was much more open and triumphant and led to Margaret sending Marisa a bouquet of two dozen pink roses and hiring her to teach her yoga at home.

Margaret tied the knot with Jack in 2023 after meeting at a party in 2021.

While she is hesitant to discuss their marriage or wedding, she conceded that the superproducer had helped with her confidence: 'Jack has helped me for sure, because he has made me feel more confident to explore all the parts of myself.'

When asked about the prospect of having children, she said they would, yet at the suggestion of possible names she said: 'If I did [have names], I wouldn’t talk about it.'

Her Vanity Fair chat comes after she was more candid last year when she revealed she's been in therapy since the age of 16 in an interview with Cosmopolitan.

In the chat, she opened up about her mental health journey and how her latest role in The Substance helped her process both her own and her mother's trauma.

The American actress admitted that she began therapy to better understand herself - and that she suffered from severe insomnia in her early 20s.

She said: 'I've been in therapy since I was 16. In my early 20s, I had severe insomnia that got in the way of a lot. I would be awake until 9 in the morning and just begging for sleep.'

Margaret also recalled missing the Cannes Film Festival for one of her earliest roles in The Nice Guys due to her insomnia.

She added: 'One of the first movies I did was The Nice Guys. It premiered at Cannes, and I didn't go to Cannes because I hadn't slept in four days and I felt like I wasn't going to survive.'

The actress, who now meditates twice a day, admitted she still feels deeply connected to the version of herself she was as a child, but said growing up as a woman has made her question how much of her identity is truly her own, and how much is shaped by societal pressure and expectation.
