Marvel at Zendaya and Tom Holland's Emmys 2026 Date Night
Marcello Hernandez didn’t waste his opportunity at the Emmys 2026.
Before the Saturday Night Live star presented Widow’s Bay’s Hiro Murai with the Emmy for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy series, he hilariously used his time on stage to interact with some of his favorite Hollywood stars.
“It’s an honor for me to be here,” Hernandez said during the Sept. 14 ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. “It’s my first time at the Emmys. I get to present so I just want to take this opportunity to say hi to a few people I might not be able to say hi to later.”
In addition to sharing an exchange with Harrison Ford, who was nominated for his role in Shrinking, as well as Oscar Isaac, who was nominated for his role in Beef, Hernandez couldn’t help but blush in the presence of Euphoria star Zendaya and her husband Tom Holland. “I want to say hi to Zendaya,” Hernandez said. “You’re a beast and you’re amazing and I saw you and I wanted to play it cool, and I decided I can’t do that so I would like to invite you and Spider-Man to have dinner at my house.”
Zendaya, who was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (the win ultimately went to Pluribus’ Rhea Seehorn), sweetly smiled as Hernandez delivered his spiel, before she burst out laughing at his invitation. The Drama actress then turned around to look at Holland—to whom she tied the knot with earlier this year—as the couple nodded and clapped for Hernandez’s bit.

And although Matthew McConaughey wasn’t in the audience at the time—he and Woody Harrelson presented Outstanding Comedy Series at the end of the night—Hernandez also took the time to recount a story of his aunt telling him as a kid that if he worked “very hard,” he might get the opportunity to spend time with him.
He joked, “I’m basically doing it.”
Hernandez’s presentation wasn’t the only winning moment of Emmys night. In host Mariska Hargitay’s monologue, she gave Nicole Kidman’s iconic AMC commercial a run for its money, carefully refiguring it for a night honoring TV.
And when Kidman interrupted her saying, “That’s mine, that’s my bit, you can’t do that.”
To which Hargitay quipped back, “Zip it, movie lady—it’s TV’s turn tonight.”
