When it comes to Marvel's legendary villains, Magneto may be the greatest of the lot - which makes it a particular tragedy that movie fans have never seen him take on the Avengers. Thankfully, that's about to change...
Not only does Marvel's latest release include a fight where Magneto battles Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but it includes pretty much every possible moment fans could want to see from such a clash.

Magneto vs the Avengers Includes Some Awesome Moments
Magneto takes on the Avengers in Disney+'s new animated special, LEGO Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails. The special begins with Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants attacking a museum, with the Avengers rushing in to stop him. However, when they learn about Magneto's iconic power over magnetism, they know they're in trouble.
While the clash includes plenty of fan service, including a brief Hulk vs Juggernaut scuffle, Magneto is the star of the show. Voiced by Jason Alexander, Magneto pulverizes Iron Man, stops Thor's hammer midair, and grabs Steve Rogers' and Sam Wilson's shields when the twin Captains America try to take him down.
The battle combines every awesome thing Magneto has ever done against the Avengers in the comics, plus a bunch of throwing around cars. The scene concludes with a pastiche of Loki catching Hawkeye's arrow in 2012's Avengers, with Clint Barton showing up just in time to beat the mutant villains.
Will Avengers Doomsday/Secret Wars Give Us This Fight in Live Action?
While LEGO Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails is an action comedy for younger fans, it packs every awesome Magneto vs Avengers moment from Marvel history into one fight that's a thrill to watch. The scene will leave fans desperate for the MCU to do the same thing with Ian McKellen's villain in his upcoming final appearances in the role.
McKellen will play Magneto in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, with the actor already reprising his role in a recent teaser for the movie. However, Magneto didn't exactly seem to be in fighting shape in the teaser, with Cyclops left to battle an army of Sentinels alone.
Fans will be praying that Magneto has one last burst of power in him when Avengers: Doomsday rolls around, but in case he doesn't, LEGO Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails at least offers up the animated version of everything movie fans have ever wanted from this clash.
