Marvel Rivals Magneto in alternate skin MVP animation screen

Magneto is a supervillain and occasional anithero who Marvel fans can recognize by his name alone. Operating solo a lot of the time, Magneto has also been part of several teams over the years to help achieve his goals. Of course, some of these organizations were even started and led by Magneto himself. On his own, Magneto can pack quite the wallop, so his abilities are multiplied when he works with others. So even if Magneto likes to be a lone wolf, the villain cannot deny the power boost he gets when he works with others.

Whether it be a supervillain organization that Magneto has formed or a leader of the X-Men, Magneto gives his all to all the organizations he leads and is a part of. Consequently, that push can be a great aid to the world or a huge detriment to humans everywhere.

10 Horsemen of Salvation

Uncanny X-Men #3

The Horsemen of Salvation walking outside.

Consisting of Magneto, Omega Red, Blob, and Angel, the Horsemen of Salvation are made of X-Men heroes and villains who stand for Life, Bounty, Wellness, and Peace. As the self-designated Horseman of Peace, Magneto decides to achieve said goal through the unorthodox measure of blowing up the X-Mansion as he felt the team was responsible for war. Of course, this move was not the best way to go about things. Regardless, the team packed a major punch as Angel alone was a master combatant and swordsman beyond his mutant abilities of healing, hypersonic screams, and an energy halo. All of that doesn't event account for the powers bestowed upon Angel thanks to the techno-organic wings gifted to him by Apocalypse when he was the Horsemen of Death. While the team members all bring something to the table, the Horsemen of Salvation are arguably not as strong as some of Magneto's other teams due to only being four members and the lesser-powered Blob being a part of this team.

9 Marvel Zombies Army

Age of Ultron Vs. Zombies #1

Magneto with a city in the background.

In the Earth-2149 universe, the zombie plague has taken over Earth and infected many of its heroes (and villains). However, there are a select few that are uninfected including Magneto as well as some other notable supers like the remaining X-Men members includeing Wolverine. Likewise, Nick Fury and Iron Man are uninfected as the pairr aim to help the S.H.I.E.L.D resistance. With Magento as head of the resistance army in Age of Ultron Vs. Marvel Zombies, Nick Fury, Wolverine, Reed Richards, and Iron Man are part of Magneto's assemblage, rounding out an extremely strong team. While there was some tension at the beginning of the team, they all realized that they were working on the same side in this reality. The team's work was more than cut out for them with many fallen compatriots fighting against them like Hawkeye, Colonel America, and the Wasp.

8 Royal Family

House of M

Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Tommy and Billy, Magneto, and Polaris in House of M royal garb.

Magneto delivered the mutant supremacy he always wanted in the House Of M storyline as he became the ruler of huanity with mutants in charge as Scarlet Witch gave everyone the reality they wanted. For instance, Spider-Man found himself married to Gwen Stacy, Wolverine became the head of S.H.I.E.L.D, and Steve Rogers was a veteran in his early 80s. In the House of M storyline, Magneto rules over the world with his royal family which includes his children Polaris, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch along with her children William and Thomas as part of the House of Magnus. Despite going against a number of the who's who of Marvel heroes like Spider-Man, Cyclops, Emma Frost, and more, the House of M held their own despite being outnumbered by Marvel's best and brightest.

7 Marauders

Magneto Vol 3

Magneto Vol 3 #1 cover page.

The Marauders were originally a group of mercenaries formed by Mister Sinister. As early as the team's origin, Mister Sinister used the team to eradicate the group of underground-dwelling mutants called Morlocks. Massacring the Morlocks, the Marauders earned a target on their backs courtesy of Magneto who promised revenge against the team on the Morlocks' behalf. His promise comes true when he kills the Marauders clones except for Sabretooth. Magneto then clones the original Marauders so they can be used at his beck and call when the time comes. Consisting of Scalphunter, Arclight, Blockbuster, Vertigo, Riptide, Scrambler, Harpoon, Malice, Prism - and of course - the deadly Sabretooth, the Marauders are strong soldiers on their own while also having exceptional knowledge and skill with weapons, making them a lethal team.

6 Astonishing Avengers

Avengers & X-Men: AXIS

Magneto Arrives With Astonishing Avengers including Carnage, Doctor Doom, Deadpool, and Loki. Astonishing Avengers team Cletus Kasady's Carnage subsumes the host's body. DOCTOR DOOM LOOKING ANGRY Enchantress with green crown in Marvel Comics

When Red Onsluaght began spread hate to achieve World War Hate, superheroes were being hunted down by the robot Stark Sentinels. Magneto then assembled his own team of villains to combat this dangerous threat. With Deadpool, Hobglobin, Carnage, Sabretooth, Jack O Lantern, Absorbing Man, Amora the Enchantress, Doctor Doom, Loki, and Mystique, Magneto has the team to end all teams of supervillains and antiheroes. Working together with the Avengers Unity Division, The Avengers, and The X-Men, Magneto's villain team earned aid from other all-star teams. Magneto is able to organize to hold off Red Onslaught as Doctor Doom and Scarlet Witch joined forces to cast a spell that reversed Red Onslaught's plan. The teams are successful, but as a result of the spell, everyone's natures have been reversed with the villains turning altruistic and the heroes breaking bad.

5 Excalibur

Excalibur Vol 3

The Genoshan version of Excalibur features Magneto, Callisto, and Charles Xavier as well as a group of Genoshan survivors such as Freakshow and Wicked. With Magneto and Professor X working together on the same team, one knows immediately that it is a strong team. Magneto, an Omega Level mutant, and Professor X, an Alpha Level mutant who is believed to be the world's greatest telepath, pose a powerful threat on their own. The two reach another level when they work together. This version of Excalibur also features Freakshow who can transform himself into any sort of monstrous form. There is also Callisto and Wicked as the latter even saves Magneto at one point.

4 X-Men

Age of Apocalypse, Uncanny X-Men, Etc.

Magneto has led the X-Men quite a few times in a few different versions, making Magento a sort of pseudo-substitute leader for the X-Men. Leading the stellar team in the Age of Apocalypse storyline, with Professor X dead, Magneto is responsible for the X-Men in organizing the fight against Apocalypse's plans of world conquest. The X-Men tend to be one of the strongest superpowered teams in any universe, so with Magneto as their leader, it is no surprise that the X-Men are more than capable. Moreover, in Cullen Bunn's Uncanny X-Men, Magneto leads the X-Men team of Sabretooth, Fantomex, Mystique and Psylocke when mutants are at high risk of extinction. All these X-Men members are heavy hitters with Sabretooth being especially ruthless, while Mystique is a multi-skilled asset in many different ways just some of which include combat, language, psychic defense, and morphing.

3 X-Force

Uncanny Avengers #15

Magneto's X Force against a silver background.

Of the Earth-13133 reality, the Strike Force iteration of X-Force consists of Magneto, Storm, Psylocke, and Puck. While this version of X-Force may be smaller than the version headed by Cable, Magneto's X-Force is small but mighty. Storm is an Omega Level Mutant with her being a major asset to any team she is a part of regardless of size. Likewise, Psylocke is an incredibly fearsome telepath and Puck not only has his rubber physiology to aid him but is also a skilled martial artist. Their powers combined with Magneto's intelligence and powers are a combination that is too strong to ignore. While X-Force is typically led by the time-traveling Cable, Magneto is a natural-born leader himself, as seen in his performance as the leader of X-Force team as well as multiple other teams.

2 New Mutants

New Mutants Vol 1 #35

Magneto leads the New Mutants in Marvel Comics. A group of young mutants who act under the tutelage of their teacher and leader of the time, New Mutants' members may be young but they can more than hold their own. Magneto was their Headmaster and leader when Charles Xavier asked him to step in during his absence when he needed to recover from some injuries. While the New Mutants, consisting of Cannonball, Magma, Cypher, Wolfsbane, Mirage, Karma, Warlock, Magik, and Sunspot, were skeptical of Magneto at first, they all came together after seeing Magneto defend Mirage. A lot of tragedy struck the new Mutants during this era when Magneto lead but he turned out to be a source of support for the traumatized young superheroes. The team didn't just show emotional fortitude, they were also immensely powerful as the crew saved multiple people in their time.

1 Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants

X-Men #4

The original version of Magneto from the 1960s, surrounded by the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

Led by the vengeful Magneto, the X-Men supervillain hand-picked his own recruits that would pose a massive threat to humankind, fed up with human treatment of mutants. Assembling Toad, Mastermind, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch for the team's debut, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants started their mission of mutant superiority and dominance. Frequently going up against the X-Men, the team led by Professor X met their match thanks to the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. With Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver on the team, Magneto had extremely loyal teammates and many felt indebted to the villain.
