Luke Combs Pulls Out of Super Bowl Show for Family Reasons Amid Wife Nicole's Pregnancy

The Combs family are officially a party of five.

Indeed, Luke Combs and his wife Nicole Combs welcomed their third baby—and third boy—to the family when Nicole gave birth in early February, they recently confirmed.

“Happy due date to the littlest Combs BOY!,” Nicole and Luke shared in a joint Instagram carousel featuring the baby surrounded by Luke, Nicole and their two older sons Tex, 3, and Beau, 2. “We’ve loved soaking up these last few weeks of newborn snuggles.”

Revealing their baby boy’s name, Luke and Nicole added, “Chet Wiley Combs.”

Offering another glimpse at her baby boy, Nicole reposted a photo of her and Luke’s hands holding Chet’s tiny hand in theirs. Alongside the sweet pic, she wrote, “The little hand! You really do forget how small they are.”

Though the pair did not share their son’s exact birthday, they did credit Feb. 19 as being his due date. Luke and Nicole’s latest addition comes two weeks after the “Fast Car” singer announced he was pulling out of the 2026 Super Bowl pre-party taking place on Feb. 8.

"So sorry to miss y'all at Madden Bowl," he wrote on his Instagram Story Feb. 5, "but family always comes first. Have a great time."

Further clarifying Luke’s reasons for missing the show, event organizer EA Sports added in a separate statement, "Luke has to hold it down at home with a new one on the way.”

Luke and Nicole—who have been married since 2020—shared the news they were expecting their baby boy in September. In the Instagram video set to Luke’s song “Better Days,” the pair smiled as they unveiled a sonogram to Beau and Tex who threw their hands up in excitement.

Before welcoming his third child, Luke previously shared his vision for his sons and detailed how he and Nicole planned on raising them amid life in the spotlight.

"I want my sons to have as normal of a life as they deserve to have," he told Esquire in March 2023, "to ride bikes, to have privacy, to go fishing. I don't want them to be on jets all the time going all around the world—not that we wouldn't go on vacation together."

"I want them to have the things that I didn't have," he explained. "But I also want them to have the things that I did have, which was a really fun, normal feeling childhood."
