'But I can’t tell you how many reels I’ve seen today that documented the varying stages of post partum all of the angels were.

'It is genuinely mystifying how incredible they look, but if that isn’t your post partum reality, please don’t let it get you down, I think I’d just about managed 2 hair washes 6 weeks post partum.'

She continued: 'So let me sprinkle some of MY post partum reality on the timeline for you, I saved the best until last xxx.'

Shaughna then shared a range of snaps of her makeup free falling asleep, cuddling her newborn in her pyjamas and one photo of her swollen ankle and foot taken one week post partum.

Fans rushed to thank Shaughna for her post as they penned: 'Realness'.

Others wrote: 'Needed this today I’m 9 weeks post partum and hate my body, I loved my bump and pregnant body I had a nice solid bump and now I’m just flabby and after a C-section iv pulled on the weight couldn’t do nothing for 6 weeks so just went even bigger. But I will get there!';

'thought I was alone in thinking how on earth do these people look like this. When I’m 2 years postpartum and still not back to my pre baby weight.'

On Sunday, Barbara said she is lucky her 'body has bounced back really quickly' as she hit the runway after welcoming her daughter Sylvie with husband Dylan Sprouse in September.

She said of her surprise return so soon after giving birth: 'I tell everyone: "This is normal". Maternity leave is six to eight weeks; I’m six weeks tomorrow, so I’m just doing what everyone [else] is doing. And I only need to walk down a runway!

Barbara added to Page Six: 'Funny enough, my body bounced back — luckily — really quickly. Add I think it’s because I’ve never been healthier. During pregnancy, I really wanted to make sure baby girl was healthy, so I only did organic foods.

'And now postpartum, because I’m breastfeeding, I wanted to make sure I was eating good. So that’s how I prepped: I just let my body heal on its own and did some light exercises, but nothing crazy.'

Meanwhile last month Shaughna looked sensational as she posed in her swimwear while sharing a comparison of her progress 10 months post partum after each birth.

Posing in a black halter neck bikini, the star showcased her abs and muscular physique as she said she is now prioritising strong over skinny.

Taking to the caption she penned: 'For the first time in my life i’ve prioritised wanting to be strong over wanting to be skinny.

'Wanting to be healthy over wanting to be as small as I possibly could. Not weighing myself.

'Trying to hit my calorie target instead of trying to consume as little calories as possible. Not having an “end goal weight”.'

She added: 'I’m not sure where the brain switch came from, maybe having kids? I just know I want to be here as long as possible, and I want to be able to lift a lorry as and when needed.'
