He may have been part of one of the nation's biggest boybands, but it seems even Louis Tomlinson wasn't won over by one of One Direction's most successful hits.
In fact, the singer has now shared the track he disliked performing the most, admitting it felt 'corny and uncool' to sing, despite earning millions in sales.
In a new interview, Louis has confessed that he didn't enjoy performing What Makes You Beautiful, which launched the group into global stardom in 2011.
Comparing the song's lyrics to that of a 'Disney movie', he noted at the time it wasn't 'cool' to be a member of a boyband.
Since the One Direction split in 2016, all of its members have gone on to launch solo careers, with Louis releasing his third album in January.
However, the launch was tinged with drama as earlier this month Daily Mail revealed a secret rift between members of the famous band. You can read the full story here.
Louis Tomlinson has revealed the One Direction song he disliked performing the most, as he shared it felt 'corny and uncool' to sing
The singer revealed the band's debut single What Makes You Beautiful was his least favourite comparing the song's lyrics to that of a 'Disney movie' (pictured with his bandmates in 2012)
Louis was grilled about his least favourite One Direction song in an interview with Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2.
The star said it would 'always always always' be What Makes You Beautiful, adding: 'Two reasons on that, it's definitely our most pop and most bubble gum pop moment.'
Scott insisted it was a 'good record,' leading Louis to add: 'Okay, I'll take your word for it,' before insisting he wasn't 'undermining the journey, 'cause obviously it worked out great.'
'Performing that always felt so eggy. At the time I was 18, and it wasn't the coolest thing to be in a boy band, and then we got really big, so it was cool... But for the first couple of years it wasn't really like that,' he said.
'So, you know, singing, ''Baby, you light up my world like nobody else,'' honestly, it wouldn't be out of place in a Disney film, so it did just feel a little corny.'
In the same interview, Louis shared his most favourite One Direction song, saying: 'My favorite One Direction song as it is on record is probably Story Of My Life. I think that was a real moment.
'That's not the kind of record you expect from a band like One Direction, and I think that was kind of a turning point for us.
'So I remember feeling really proud that that wasn't the kind of song that you could ever dance to. There was definitely a kind of mold of boy bands before then, and I think that was a song that really helped us kind of break out of that.'
Following the release of his third album in January, Louis appeared to take a public swipe at Harry Styles when their music dropped on the same day.
After Louis album was released, he appeared to be aware of the conundrum for the number one bid, asking his 28.8million X followers for their 'help cutting through the noise'.
He penned: 'Going to need your help over the next few days to cut through the noise. Time to give this record the moment it deserves!'
Fans quickly took to the comments to ask the Lemonade singer if he is 'throwing shade' at his former bandmate Harry.

Do YOU agree with Louis that some One Direction songs just didn’t hit the right note live?
He said: 'Performing that always felt so eggy. At the time I was 18, and it wasn't the coolest thing to be in a boy band, and then we got really big, so it was cool.'
They wrote: ''cut through the noise' why do I feel like this is harry shade?; Is he trying to shade… Harry?; Oh Harry Styles when I catch you'.
Louis hasn't responded to accusations of making a dig at the Watermelon Sugar singer but did post a 'thank you' to those who had supported him.
He penned: 'Let me take this moment to say thank you to every single person that has supported me over the years. You are throughout this record and everything I do.
'This album would never have sounded the way it does without all the power and confidence you lot have given me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! How did I get here?'
