Look away, Farmer Zac! Farmer Wants a Wife star Miranda Chopping announces surprise engagement

Miranda Chopping has reason to celebrate after Farmer Zac sent her packing on Farmer Wants a Wife.

The 21-year-old announced her surprise engagement on Monday, telling fans her fiancé Joshua Brown proposed to her in Paris. 

'I genuinely thought we were going to an escape room,' she told this week's issue of Woman's Day.

'There was actually a dress I really wanted to wear that day, and Josh made up a whole story about why I couldn’t wear it. 

'He told me we were going to an escape room at the Eiffel Tower and then getting professional photos afterwards, so I didn’t suspect a thing. 

Miranda went on to reveal Josh put a blindfold on her and whisked her to the famous landmark before he dropped to bended knee.  

Miranda's happily ever after comes after modelling images of the reality star resurfaced earlier in the year.

In the pictures, unearthed by gossip website Chattr, Miranda sported light hair and less-pouty lips than she has flaunted on the reality dating show this season. 

The brunette told Chattr that she ditched modelling to focus on swimming, but is now hoping for a career as an influencer on Instagram. 

'I've spent a lot of time building it over time. I do a lot of travelling, I like to dress up and go out and take photos,' she told the website.

'I think I just like posting so that the following kind of just comes along with it,' Miranda continued.

'It's not something I did for a purpose, it's kind of just grown with everything that I've done, but I do love getting dressed up and taking photos of myself.' 

Miranda certainly commanded attention on Farmer Wants a Wife, however many viewers were turned off by her ballsy attitude and enhanced looks. 

Several on social media pointed out that Miranda would be better suited to a show like Married At First Sight or Love Island. 

'Miranda is 21, and displaying a high school mean girl personality. Working in real estate, I'd hate to have her managing my home,' wrote one person on X. 

Another said: 'Did Miranda not get cast on MAFS or Love Island? Not the vibe for Farmer Wants a Wife. You're 21, just chill.'

'Hey, Miranda. You are not on MAFS,' commented someone else.

Over on Instagram, one viewer chimed in: 'Producers chose her for entertainment purposes!'

'MAFS vibes. Gia 2.0,' wrote someone else, referring to Married At First Sight 2026 bride, and resident villain, Gia Fleur.

'Not genuine,' said one person, while another viewer wrote: 'Definitely not your girl, she belongs in the city.'

Others were taken with the confident stunner, with one person commenting: 'Go Miranda! Can't wait to watch you find love.'

Miranda failed to find love with Farmer Zac on the hit Channel Seven show.
