Leo Woodall's follow-up to The White Lotus and One Day is already here, and it interestingly features him in a unique role. Born on September 14, 1996, British actor Leo Vincent Woodall started his acting career in 2019 with a short titled Man Down. Although it took the actor a few years to find his feet in Hollywood, he has grown from strength to strength with each new movie and television project. Two years after starting his journey as an actor, Woodall has become a household name because of his memorable performances in shows like One Day and The White Lotus.

Both critically acclaimed shows gave him the platform to put his acting skills on full display and prove that he had the potential to play more prominent roles in television shows. Considering the streaming success of both shows, it is not surprising that Woodall is playing the main character in a new 2025 Apple TV+ show. Even though the role he plays in the show is nothing like the ones he portrayed in The White Lotus and One Day, the series is worth watching because of how well he captures his new character.

Prime Target Gives Leo Woodall A Great Lead Role After His Breakout Hits

The Show Allows Him To Diversify His Acting Portfolio

When it comes to its storytelling and pace, Prime Target seems a little uneven in its first two episodes. However, Leo Woodall gives a great performance as the show's main character, Edward Brooks. While his performance and screen presence alone are enough to keep one invested, what makes his role even more interesting in the Apple TV+ show is that it is a far cry from his previous television characters. In One Day, Woodall plays the obnoxious Dexter, who does not become likable until much later in the story.

Dexter and Emma's story in One Day is heartwarming and tragic, raising questions about the inspiration behind it and if it's based on a true story.

Even his character, Jack, in The White Lotus, seems mildly annoying after he is introduced, but becomes increasingly terrifying as the show progresses. In both, The White Lotus and One Day, Woodall's characters are appealing primarily because of the charisma he brings to them. The same cannot be said about Prime Target's Edward Brooks. The character has been intentionally written in a way that makes him reserved, introspective, and even distant. He is portrayed as a math genius who exudes little charm or likability and is driven more by his obsession with an overarching mystery.

Leo Woodall's Upcoming Roles Should Make Him A Bigger Star

The British Actor Has Been Cast In Several Promising Projects

With hardly a handful of major television and movie roles in his portfolio, Leo Woodall is only starting out as an actor. However, he already seems to have immense potential and even his future looks bright. The actor has been cast as the leading man, Roxster McDuff, in the upcoming Bridget Jones movie, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. He is also starring alongside Dustin Hoffman in an upcoming crime thriller, Tuner.

Leo Woodall is the descendant of American film and stage actress Maxine Elliott.

In James Vanderbilt's adaptation of Jack El-Hai's The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, Woodall will also share the screen with Academy Award winners Russell Crowe and Rami Malek and two-time Oscar nominee Michael Shannon. Apart from these promising movie projects, Leo Woodall has also been cast as the leading man in Taron Lexton's upcoming sci-fi film Nomad. All these new projects suggest that even though Leo Woodall's roles in The White Lotus, One Day, and Prime Target are great, they only mark the beginning of what looks to be a diverse and stellar acting career for the actor.
