While some folks were upset that The Legend of Zelda was returning to the Breath of the Wild era with Tears of the Kingdom, it was still a massive success on the Switch, and will continue on with a long tail for many years. After all, given how legendary Breath of the Wild is by reputation, fans will want to play the direct sequel, and Nintendo will no doubt remaster both games in a future console generation.

Before that happens, though, Tears of the Kingdom fans have something to look forward to in September. Thanks to a new listing, we're getting a celebration of sorts in the near future.

Debuting in May 2027, a new action figure is coming out from Hasbro to represent The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and it's actually affordable for once, since it's not a statue. It's priced at $27.99, and retailers are taking pre-orders now. The figure clocks in at 6 inches tall, is made of plastic, and has multiple points of articulation.

Even though it's not expensive, it's important to know what you're getting into: "Ever since its first title, released in the U.S. in 1987, the Legend of Zelda series has mixed exploration and discovery with action and adventure. Link and Zelda’s eternal battle against Ganondorf forms the centerpiece of these epic tales from the world of Hyrule. Now, with 6-inch-scale figures from Hasbro, fans can finally bring to life their favorite game moments and cut-scenes -- or imagine their own. The Heroes of Hyrule Legend of Zelda collectibles feature iconic characters from across the beloved games, making great collector items for fans and kids alike."

In the Tears of the Kingdom figure box, you'll get Link, a Zonai power hand, the Master Sword, a Hylian Shield, and a cape. It's pretty jam-packed for the price.

  • Zelda Figure - Link Arms Extended

Although The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom doesn't have the same zeitgeist power of Breath of the Wild, there's a lot to love about it, especially in terms of how it offers up more unique ways to solve puzzles. The expansion of Hyrule to the underground and sky islands is also a plus, and builds well upon the foundation that Breath of the Wild forged.

While I ultimately would have preferred an original Legend of Zelda game instead, Tears of the Kingdom is a strong sequel that stands with Breath of the Wild.
