It's hard to believe The Legend of Zelda has been around for four decades, but 2026 marks the series' 40th anniversary. Initially, Nintendo was fairly quiet on the subject, but the company has since given fans plenty to celebrate, including a remake for Ocarina of Time that will be releasing on November 5. It's not just video games that are seeing new releases, though, as merchandise like action figures and soundtracks are also launching in 2026.
In recent and upcoming months, we've seen a Zelda-themed Switch 2 and Pro Controller, a Breath of the Wild vinyl collection, and releases that simply celebrate the series as a whole. The Legend of Zelda: Historical Charms is one of those new releases. The collection will be launching in October 2026, celebrating a dozen games in the beloved franchise.
The Legend of Zelda: Historical Charms collection is releasing curtesy of Takara Tomy in Japan. These charms represent 12 games in The Legend of Zelda series, from the original NES classic all the way to 2023's Tears of the Kingdom and 2024's Echoes of Wisdom. The following games are all represented in the new charms collection:

- Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link
- A Link to the Past
- Ocarina of Time
- Majora's Mask
- The Wind Waker
- Twilight Princess
- Skyward Sword
- Link's Awakening
- Breath of the Wild

The new Zelda charms are designed to look like the Triforce and feature artwork that's meant to celebrate moments from the series' 40-year history. These charms will be launching in gachapon machines in October. If you're in Japan and want to try your luck, each capsule costs a little less than $2 (300 yen), so they won't cost you a fortune.
Overall, 2026 has been a good year for Zelda fans. An Ocarina of Time remake releases in November, and Nintendo has released various merch across the past few months, including new vinyl collections, action figures that are up for preorder, and smaller items like those in The Legend of Zelda: Historical Charms collection. And the franchise won't slow down in 2027.
A number of Zelda releases have been confirmed for next year, including the live-action movie that will debut in April. Between the 40th anniversary this year and the movie in 2027, expect to see even more merchandise for The Legend of Zelda hitting shelves in the future.
