Laura Hamilton has hit back at trolls making unsolicited comments about her changing appearance as she shared an array of gym snaps on Thursday.

The TV presenter, 44, showcased her impressive abs in a black sports bra as she completed reps of bicep curls and tricep exercises.

Prioritising her health and fitness, Laura defended herself as she urged trolls to mind their own business and not pick apart someone else's appearance.

She wrote: 'Apparently, our bodies are everyone’s business…“She’s put on weight.” “She’s too thin.” “She’s getting too muscular.” “She’s looking old.” “She looked better before.”

'It seems that whatever we do as women, someone will always have something to say!

'Now, before I go any further, I want to say that I’m incredibly lucky to have such a lovely, positive and supportive community on here, and I genuinely appreciate [it].

'I’m not trying to have the body I had at 25. I’m trying to look after the body I have NOW, so it looks after me for years to come. And let’s not forget, ageing is a privilege.

'Whether you lift weights, run marathons, have tweakments, embrace your wrinkles or do absolutely none of the above… surely that’s your choice?

'We don’t all have to look the same, make the same choices or even agree with each other. But we can still be kind.

'But every now and then, I see comments, not just about me but about other women too, that make me wonder… when did we become so comfortable judging how other people look?

'Too big. Too small. Too strong. Too old. Too much. Never quite right! And yes, I know what some people will say… “Well, if you put photos of yourself on social media, what do you expect?”'

She continued: 'But here’s the thing. I’m not posting these pictures to ask anyone to judge my body. I’m sharing something I enjoy, something that makes me feel good and something that’s important to me.

'Sharing a photo isn’t an invitation to pick apart someone’s appearance. I go to the gym because I want to feel strong, healthy and happy.

'My body has changed over the years. Of course it has! I’ve lived, I’ve had children, I’ve grown older… that’s life!

'And while we’re talking about ageing, so what if someone chooses to have a few tweakments?

'If you want to embrace every wrinkle, wonderful! If you fancy a little help along the way, that’s fine too!

'Why do we judge women for getting older and then judge them again if they choose to do something about it? HOW ABOUT YOU DO YOU, AND I’LL DO ME!'

The star then asked followers: 'Do you think social media has made us too comfortable commenting on other people’s appearances?'

Laura previously revealed her toned physique was down to daily movement and varying strength training, yoga, and reformer Pilates.

In an interview in the summer, Laura also shared how she keeps her spending low while she documented what she eats in a day.

Speaking to Closer, she said: 'I'm an Aldi convert now. I try to budget around £75 a week for the three of us which is really achievable when shopping there.'

Laura said her fridge is 'packed with lean proteins' like salmon, chicken and turkey mince and she also keeps plenty of berries, sweetcorn and watermelon to hand.

While she keeps to a mostly healthy diet, the TV host said she will 'eat almost anything' and has 'raised my children to be the same'.

Other items that can be found in the star's fridge include protein yoghurts, protein bars and houmous.

'For breakfast I'll usually have a protein shake with oats and matcha,' she said, adding that lunch is often a jacket potato with tuna and a bit of mayo and cheese.

She keeps her dinners healthy too, citing salmon with noodles and stir-fried vegetables as a typical evening meal.

Asked what she would cook to impress her guests, Laura chose slow-roast lamb, served with dauphinoise potatoes and broccoli.
