Jade Thirlwall basks in glory as her song Angel Of My Dreams hits incredible streaming figures after it was played at Victoria's Secret show

Jade Thirlwall joked that 'not all angels walk the runway... some of us have got to hold it down in Newcastle' as she basked in the glory of her song Angel Of My Dreams.

The singer, 33, has gone viral after Kylie Jenner walked the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Sunday to her debut single in the iconic $50million fantasy bra. 

Now Jade has hit incredible streaming figures as fans have recreated the moment in videos online and Spotify has seen a 4,300% global increase for Angel Of My Dreams and a 760% increase in streams for JADE globally.

The former Little Mix star has been enjoying the success as she shared fun TikTok videos including one wearing a Newcastle football shirt joking she is the 'angel of the north'. 

Another saw the star posing up a storm and strutting in a rehearsal studio as she wrote: 'Just imagine I'm wearing angel wings and the fantasy bra.' 

Jade also shared a chaotic video looking panicked and said she is busy 'promoting my debut single from two years ago because it got played at the VS fashion show'. 

She added that she is trying to give the track, which was released in July 2024, 'it's well deserved moment' but is also busy 'writing new music at the same time'.  

And ahead of Thursday's Mercury Awards, Jade, who is one of the performers, shared a fun video trying to decide what song she should perform.

Dressed in a long denim skirt and a sports shirt, she held up the sheet music for Angel Of My Dreams.

'My deciding what to perform at the Mercury's after this week,' she wrote.  

Jade, who found fame in the UK on the X Factor with Little Mix in 2011, first broke her silence on the iconic Victoria's Secret moment as she travelled around London on the tube.

Looking around the underground, she penned: 'Nobody on this tube knows that my debut single was playing while Kylie Jenner wore the fantasy bra at the VS fashion show.'

Kylie wowed the audience and viewers as she strutted the catwalk in the famous $50million fantasy bra with Angel of My Dreams playing. 

Jade sings in the chorus, 'Angel of my dreams / I will always love you and hate you, it’s not fair / It’s so bittersweet / I will always want you and need you, you don’t care / You don’t.'

Jade launched her solo career following Little Mix's 2022 hiatus and went on to release Angel of My Dreams in 2024 which peaked in the UK charts at seven.

She has since gone on to win Best Pop Act at the 2025 BRIT Awards and dropped her debut album, That's Showbiz, Baby! last year.

Kylie has had everyone talking this week after she wore the crown jewel of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Sunday, which is ordinarily worn by experienced models who have already paid their dues on the runway.

Yet the TV personality sparked backlash after she walked down the runway in it, becoming the first non-Angel to do so. 

Critics called for the show to be cancelled after Kylie wore the iconic gemstone-encrusted $50million (£38million) Fantasy Bra at the fashion spectacle, which took place in Culver City, California.

'This is UNACCEPTABLE,' one fan wrote on X, while another added, 'Victoria Secret truly out of creativity. Most expensive and yet the most basic. And a kardashian/jenner to cheapen it more.'

'Out of literally anyone ever why the F**K did they put the fantasy bra on Kylie Jenner?' another questioned.

'Kylie Jenner got the fantasy bra… cancel this sht right now,' someone else chimed in.

Past models who have worn the iconic bra include Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Tyra Banks and Candice Swanepoel.

Kylie's show-stopping look was paired with a sheer miniskirt, silver panties, clear heels and angelic white wings.

The reality TV star was cheered on by boyfriend Timothee Chalamet, 30, and mom Kris Jenner, 70, who watched from the front row.

After the show, she took to her Instagram Stories, posting a close-up of her cleavage in the bra with the caption, 'best day ever'.

She also shared another snap showing her getting ready for the runway in the brand's signature pink robe.

Victoria's Secret creative director Adam Selman told Vogue why Kylie was chosen for the special moment after the show aired.

'Kylie really extends beyond fashion, beyond culture, beyond TV, beyond one singular thing,' he told the publication. 'That’s the exact same thing that we do. Like, the show is so big, it’s true entertainment, and I think that she is a great catalyst for that.

'She’s really created her own culture – how many people can say that?' he went on, adding that the 'big idea for the show was fandomonium'.

'I think it’s an interesting pairing that we’re giving the fans: we’re giving them what they want with this amazing Fantasy Bra, and we’re going to put it on an unexpected talent who has a massive following and massive cultural impact.

'I think it’s fun. I think it’s really joyful, and I think it’s fun to celebrate in a different way that people aren’t going to expect,' he concluded.

Meanwhile Kylie's supermodel sister Kendall broke her silence on her runway debut. 

30-year-old Kendall, a bona fide supermodel, was not at this year's show and last strutted its catwalk in 2018.

However, she proved there is no sibling rivalry on Monday when she commented on Kylie's Instagram recap video, calling her 'a gorgeous woman!!!'.
