Latest GTA 6 Leak of Nude Character Is a Bad Crypto Scheme Fundraiser

1 hour ago 7

As it nears a month before its long-awaited release, Grand Theft Auto 6 is again the subject of a high-profile leak, this time involving nudity of another main character.

The online group Cyberleek reportedly posted new footage of one of the game’s main characters, Lucia, engaging in activities such as walking in public and skydiving nude.

While there are indications that what was leaked is not from the final game — it could be an earlier developer build modded to allow for nudity — the leakers are threatening to post the game’s entire main storyline ahead of the Nov. 19 game launch. This follows a separate leak that featured the game’s other main character, Jason, also nude for much of a 24-minute video.

Reports say the leaked files have been made available on sites with a $40 paywall, but clips have appeared on free websites and social media. Cyberleek said it has other footage to release with names like “Police shootout,” “Beach massacre” and “Fight Jet” ahead of a full gameplay release.

The leakers are demanding that publisher Take-Two Interactive publicly apologize for not offering physical discs and issue a physical, disc-based version of the game. However, meeting these demands is highly unlikely. The game is set to be a digital-only release, and altering the production timeline at this stage is practically impossible.

There seems to be something else behind it, though: more money. Cyberleek is urging people to pump its self-named meme coin, threatening to leak a full build of GTA 6 if the coin reaches a market valuation of $30 million. As of this writing, it has ranged recently from about $2 million to $7 million, with news of the leak adding to its volatility.

A representative for Rockstar Games, the studio owned by Take-Two Interactive that built GTA 6, did not immediately return a request for comment. But the company has been involved in investigations into previous leaks and has expressed dismay about groups trying to spoil the game.

In August, in response to leaks from the same group that included nine short gameplay videos, Rockstar posted on X that the leaks were “heartbreaking” and told players, “this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time.”

In late August, Rockstar finally gave fans a lengthy look at the game with 27 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay footage, which it made available on Netflix and YouTube. There was no nudity in that footage, but fans have been speculating how R-rated the final version of the game could get in terms of its sexual content.

Rockstar, which spent more than a dozen years developing the game, has been carefully orchestrating its rollout and working with authorities to shut down repositories featuring leaked assets.

The game will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5 consoles for $80 to $100, depending on the edition gamers purchase.
