Lana Del Rey Marries Alligator Tour Guide Jeremy Dufrene
Lana Del Rey finally found her once in a lifetime.
Two months after the "Young and Beautiful" singer tied the knot with alligator guide Jeremy Dufrene, she shared why their unexpected relationship works so well. It all started with the help of longtime friend Jack Antonoff and his wife Margaret Qualley.
"I'm grateful for him for the example that he gave me in his marriage to Margaret," Lana said of Jack while presenting him with the Producer of the Decade award at the Variety Hitmakers brunch Dec. 7. "I saw the way he looked at her when he met her, and he's a big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband."
For the 39-year-old—who married the wildlife tour guide during an intimate ceremony by the Louisana coast in September—saying yes to love outside of the spotlight seemed impossible.
"I really feel like there's a singer's curse around meeting an honest partner who has no skin in the game, no dog in the race," she explained. "It's super nerve-racking to have to hold onto an innocent perception of how things could go when you're in an industry where maybe your values or your morals don't quite match up with what's going on—especially when people think that you probably don't have any morals or values. So, it can get all twisted up."
"You've really made it feel like Hollywood can be glamorous still, and you can still have a very rich home life," Lana gushed to Jack, who tied the knot with Margaret in August 2023, "even when you get rich."

— Variety (@Variety) December 7, 2024It seems the "Summertime Sadness" artist, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, knows that feeling, too. In fact, she provided more insight into the sounds of her and Jeremy's love song following their nuptials.
"Jeremy is the one and only," she commented on a fan account post in October. "And amazing. And we're very happy."
While the newlyweds have remained mostly private about their relationship, they were seen cozying up on the docks following their wedding. On display was the Grammy nominee's dazzling oval-cut wedding ring, which she couldn't help but gaze at alongside her new husband.

Lana noted just last year that she wasn't lusting for a new relationship anytime soon. As she told Harper's Bazaar in December 2023, eight months before she and Jeremy were spotted together, "I'm definitely not in love right now. Absolutely not in love."
But even Lana knows she's a hopeless romantic.
"It hasn't crossed my mind in the last five months on the road or here yet," she explained. "But give it a week. My history, sure, it's coming for me at some point. Yeah. It would be interesting if it didn't. It would be interesting if it didn't."
