Kylie Minogue may be 58, but she has the energy of someone half her age.

The Australian pop star proved just how far she is willing to go for a perfect performance as she worked her moves at a full dress rehearsal ahead of the AFL Grand Final on Thursday.

The pop star looked far younger than her years as she donned a series of fashionable looks as she ran through her setlist at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

At one stage, Kylie reached death-defying heights as she was lifted high above the stadium on a small podium.

Rigged up with a safety harness to prevent her from plunging to the ground below, Kylie launched into a high-octane song and dance routine.

For one of her ensembles, Kylie wore a corset and a sheer, flowing skirt with a high split.

She also changed into a distressed shirt dress worn with gold, knee-high boots and fishnet stockings.

Aided by a whole team of helpers, she then changed into a second distressed shirt dress, this time with the words 'I'm home' emblazoned across the front.

Kylie, who grew up in Melbourne, is indeed on home turf for the hotly anticipated performance on Saturday.

The Padam Padam hitmaker will be appearing before a sell-out crowd at the 100,000-seat MCG on September 26.

Her 20-minute gig is set to net the pint-sized pop star a hefty payday.

Minogue is believed to be walking home with a whopping $3million for her highly anticipated gig.

Her enormous payday was reported by New Idea, after the AFL recently confirmed that Minogue was on their 'wish list' for some time.

Kylie stunned her fans with her youthful glow as she celebrated her 58th birthday in May.

The Australian pop star wore a white doily-style lace dress and an artsy brown clutch for her special night out at Lilibet’s Mayfair in London.

The two-time Grammy winner looked incredible as she danced before blowing out the single candle on her birthday cake.

'Thank you for your birthday love,' Minogue wrote on Instagram.

'Another year around the sun and somehow I ended up exactly where I needed to be... knee deep in old home videos.

'Making the documentary reminded me where I come from and why I do all of this. Family forever. Thank you for all the love today. Socks up!'

It follows the success of her new Netflix documentary.

Michael Harte's critically acclaimed, three-part docuseries Kylie: Closer Than Ever Before quickly amassed 2.1 million views in its first week.

In the moving film, Kylie revealed that she has battled cancer twice.

'My second cancer diagnosis was in early 2021. I was able to keep that to myself...Not like the first time,' Minogue revealed.

'Thankfully, I got through it. Again. And all is well. Hey, who knows what's around the corner, but pop music nurtures me.'

The first time the 5ft blonde bombshell was diagnosed with breast cancer, she underwent a lumpectomy and chemotherapy and was declared cancer-free in 2006.

'I don't feel obliged to tell the world, and actually I just couldn't at the time because I was just a shell of a person,' she recalled.

'I didn't want to leave the house again at one point. [My 2023 song] Padam Padam opened so many doors for me, but on the inside I knew that cancer wasn't just a blip in my life.

'And I really just wanted to say what happened so I can let go of it. I'd sit through interviews and every opportunity I thought, "Now's the time," but I kept it to myself.'

On the personal front, Minogue has been single since ending her five-year relationship with British GQ creative director Paul Solomons in 2023.

The Kylie Minogue Wines founder previously dated her Neighbours castmate Jason Donovan, INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, French actor Olivier Martinez, Spanish model Andrés Velencoso and British actor Joshua Sasse.
