Kristen Bell Joins ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 4’ At Paramount

Kristen Bell is set to join the cast of Paramount pic Sonic the Hedgehog 4 voicing the character of Amy Rose, a fan favorite in the video game franchise that was teased in the end credits at the end fo the last installment. Ben Schwartz, who voices Sonic, made the announcement on social media. The film is set to bow on March 19, 2027 with Schwartz reprising his role along with Jeff Fowler returning to direct.

Producers are Neal H. Moritz and Toby Ascher, and Toru Nakahara. Together, the Sonic franchise has surpassed $1 billion, with the latest installment becoming the highest-grossing film in the series, earning over $490 million.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 opened to No. 1 domestically, for two consecutive weeks, and debuted at No. 1 in over 30 markets including the U.K., Mexico, Italy, and Australia. The threequel has driven over $180M in global consumer spending from home entertainment rentals and purchases.

Bell was most recently seen reprising her role in the second season of the Emmy nominated hit Netflix series s, Nobody Wants This, alongside Adam Brody, in which she also serves as an executive producer. Recent acting credits include leading roles in the Amazon Prime comedy film The People We Hate at the Wedding, alongside Allison Janney and Ben Platt and Netflix’s parody comedy The Woman in the House.
