Arriving on Netflix back in 2025, KPop Demon Hunters soon cemented itself as the most-watched title in Netflix history. Appealing to audiences of all ages, the animated movie follows the story of K-pop girl group, HUNTR/X, who lead double lives as demon hunters. However, things soon get a bit complicated when they find competition in rival K-pop group, the Saja Boys, who just so happen to secretly be demons.

Racking up over 325 million views on Netflix, KPop Demon Hunters was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, receiving praise for its animation, voice acting, humor, and, most importantly, its music, which soon hit the Billboard Top 100.

Now, over a year on, and KPop Demon Hunters' influence is still apparent, and whilst fans wait for its sequel, which is currently in development, it seems as though there is another big release to look forward to.

You do not have to go far to see KPop Demon Hunters merchandise and major collaborations, and now it seems as though the hit animated movie will be heading to Monopoly Go!

The 2023 mobile board game boasts over 150 million downloads, so it is safe to say that this is another major win for our KPop Demon Hunters, who will be heading to the game as part of a Halloween-themed collaboration.

As of 23 September, the ‘Monster Mash’ season for Monopoly Go! is live, seeing collaborations with both KPop Demon Hunters and Ghostbusters. This will allow players to experience “dynamic mini-games and immersive adventures featuring HUNTR/X, the Saja Boys, and their epic journey through Seoul and the Underworld”. Not only that, but KPop Demon Hunters' hit songs ‘Golden’ and ‘How It’s Done’ will also accompany your gameplay after being officially added to the soundtrack.

Additionally, Monopoly Go! will also welcome Blocks Boutique, an in-game store that will feature heaps of digital collectibles inspired by KPop Demon Hunters. Not only that, but HUNTR/X concert experience will also be added as part of the experience.

As Monopoly Go boss Victor Diaz-Roig says, “The season of thrills and chills is all about getting together with friends, sharing a little mischief and embracing the unexpected. Our teams at Scopely approached the ‘Monster Mash’ season with incredible care, designing every part of the experience with our Tycoons in mind, from bringing the characters and stories of KPop Demon Hunters and Ghostbusters to life in Monopoly Go, to creating brand-new ways to play that friends can enjoy together.”

Available to play now until 25 November, the Monster Mash event is now live in Monopoly Go! and will be the perfect time for KPop Demon Hunters' fans to get stuck into the hit mobile board game.
