Khloe Kardashian Slaps Tristan Thompson During Romantic Gesture

Khloe Kardashian admitted to slapping the father of her two children, Tristan Thompson​​​​, after he attempted to be romantic.

The reality star talked about the moment on Wednesday's episode of her podcast Khloe In Wonder Land, "Khloe's Valentine's Day Hotline."

At the beginning of the episode, the Kardashian was discussing how Valentine's Day is celebrated in her family, and she revealed that her love language is physical touch.

That led to a discussion about a time when her baby daddy tried to make a grand romantic gesture, but failed miserably.

Kardashian and Thompson have been in an on-and-off relationship from 2016 to 2021, and they have two children together — True, 7, and Tatum, 3.

Several years ago, on a random day, Thompson arranged for Giveon, an R&B singer, to perform at their home. Trying to maintain the surprise, the basketball player asked Kardashian to come outside.

Once she came into the backyard, the KUWTK personality was greeted by the sweet musical stylings of Giveon and a "mortifying" situation.

She recalled "hating" Thompson at the time and wondered why he set it all up. She said:

And Giveon is pouring his heart out. And Tristan’s trying to sit next to me, and I’m like, slapping him, and poor Giveon is still singing.

She recalled that Giveon was a great performer, but she desperately wanted to get away from Thompson. So much so that she went into the house to get their daughter because "I just need like a third person."

Kardashian made it clear that she was "so annoyed" with Thompson, but she didn't go into detail as to why.

To this day, if she sees Giveon, he'll bring up the awkward moment, saying, "Remember, if I could sing live for you two while you guys were fighting."

Throughout the performance, Giveon remained professional and never stopped singing. Kardashian said, "He's amazing, I love him. But, how awkward for him, poor guy. I love you, Giveon."

Although the Kardashian didn't reveal exactly why she was annoyed with Thompson, it's public pop culture knowledge that he's given her plenty of reasons to be frustrated with him.

Around the same time as this grand gesture, the mother of two watched episodes of Hulu's The Kardashians as they rehashed his paternity scandal in 2022.

Her sister, Kim Kardashian, was the first to discover legal documents that showed Thompson had another child with Maralee Nichols, a personal trainer. Nichols sued Thompson for child support.

The timeline surrounding the birth of Nichols' child revealed that Thompson cheated on Khloe with the trainer. However, this wasn't the first time he was unfaithful to Khloe.

In 2018, he was caught getting close to two women at a hookah lounge, and he was caught with several different women while Khloe was pregnant with True.

The two remain separated, but Khloe has been doing her best to co-parent with Thompson.
