Kelly Osbourne says she feels 'so sad' that her late father Ozzy Osbourne's Lifetime Achievement win at the BRITs was overshadowed by criticism of her appearance.
Eight months after her dad's July 2025 death Kelly attended the BRIT Awards with her mother Sharon to accept the posthumous prize.
Kelly has reflected on the body shaming she experienced from social media trolls that night, explaining: 'I got assassinated over something that should have been about my dad and his legacy'.
Speaking to Paul C Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast, Kelly was asked how she felt about the comments made about her appearance and weight loss.
'First of all, I didn't know what I looked like. I couldn't see it,' Kelly pointed out. 'I was so unwell. I couldn't see it. And then I saw those pictures and I was like, "Oh my god." Like, "This is not good."'
'I just couldn't believe like if I had cancer, people would be like, "You look great, bravo. How brave of you,"' she continued. 'But no, what I was suffering from was mental health issues and grief'.

'And I got literally assassinated over something that should have been about my dad and his legacy. And people couldn't see past that.'
Kelly added that all social media trolls 'wanted to do was rip me to shreds. And it also made me so sad for the state of this world that people could be so cruel.'
She admitted though that seeing photos of herself and the reaction 'did allow me to see what they saw and it was a wakeup call'.
Alluding to her split from her fiancé and the father of her three-year-old son, Sid Wilson, which came to light three weeks after the BRITs, Kelly said 'there was so much more going on in my life that I can't speak about that contributed. And if people only knew.'
Earlier this month Kelly said she has been receiving help and support over the past few months.
'I'm getting a lot better. I've got all the help I need and I'm grateful for the support I have in my life,' she told HELLO!
'[I have] this incredible team of people I've built around me who are not just my friends, because what you'll find when you're grieving is that people don't know how to handle it, and you do lose a lot of friends...
'But the ones who stick around are the real ones.'

Kelly believes 'a part of' herself died when Ozzy passed away and she'll never be the same again.
She told HELLO!: 'It's been the hardest year of my life. I'll never be the person I was before my father died… a part of me died, too.
'Everything is different. I'm different. Everything has changed, but it's just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work.'
The former Fashion Police star noted she has a 'lifetime of work' to do on herself but has found therapy very helpful.
She said: 'It's one foot in front of the other.
'You've got to fix the head before you can fix the body. It's a slow process. It's going to take me a minute. I'm not going to be fixed in a day...
