Karl Stefanovic has suffered a series of professional blows over the past few weeks.

However, the former Channel Nine star has held onto one prestigious gig, as he's set to speak at the elite Prince Alfred College.

The 51-year-old has been booked to give the keynote speech at the South Australian private boarding school's old scholars black-tie dinner.

Stefanovic was 'booked several months ago' for the July 31 event at Adelaide Convention Centre, The Courier Mail reported on Thursday.

The television star is expected to net 'in the tens of thousands of dollars' for the one-night gig, the publication claims.

Stefanovic has been dropped from his two most lucrative contracts over the past two weeks alone.

It was confirmed he had left the Today show and Channel Nine last week following his interview with commentator Tommy Robinson on his own podcast, The Karl Stefanovic Show.

The TV star, who has been a Nine stalwart for some 25 years, had six months and over $1 million left to be paid on his 12-month contract.

Stefanovic's latest media venture has also come to an abrupt end, with ARN dropping him from the radio show, The Long Weekend, which he co-hosted alongside Eddie McGuire

He had appeared on just two episodes of the three-hour Friday show, broadcast across ARN's Gold radio network, before becoming embroiled in controversy.

According to the AFR, sources revealed the network made the decision to end their relationship this week.

Stefanovic's contract was worth approximately $200,000 for the rest of the year.

McGuire will reportedly continue to host the radio show without him.

Meanwhile, shock jock Kyle Sandilands has registered 'Kyle and Karl' websites in the last 24 hours.

The domain names appear to point to a potential partnership between Sandilands and Stefanovic quietly taking shape behind the scenes.

The IP addresses for kyleandkarl.com.au and karlandkyle.com.au were registered to Sandilands' company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.

It has additionally been reported that Channel 7 and Network Ten have 'privately ruled out hiring' Stefanovic.

'Stefanovic is unlikely to front a show on Australian commercial television again,' The Australian alleged.

Stefanovic is unlikely to face any significant financial hardship after leaving Today, with the TV veteran boasting a property empire worth more than $20million, along with a string of other lucrative assets.
