Just Go with It's soundtrack features the perfect mix of songs to usher the story toward every step of the way. The romantic comedy stars Adam Sandler as a plastic surgeon whose big move is to pretend he is married so he can hook up with women without ever having to call them again. However, when he thinks he has found a girl he would want to marry for real, he needs his work assistant (Jennifer Aniston) to pretend to be his soon-to-be ex-wife. Of course, this leads to an even more outrageous series of events and an unlikely love story.

Just Go with It was initially released back in 2011, but it has arrived to streaming on Netflix in 2024. Directed by Dennis Dugan, the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston movie stars Brooklyn Decker, Bailee Madison, Nicole Kidman, Griffin Gluck, and more. Just Go with It also features a soundtrack from Happy Madison Productions regular Rupert Gregson-Williams, though there is also a fantastic selection of rock and pop songs that play throughout the story. From The Police and Bob Marley to B.o.B and Rihanna, this rom-com has a variety of great sounds to enjoy.

When Every Song On The Just Go With It Soundtrack Plays In The Movie

Each Song & What Is Happening When It Plays

“So Lonely” by The Police - After Sandler's Danny heard his fiance making fun of his sister and talking about how much she had been cheating on him, he called the wedding off and took his grief to the bar. Here, the song "So Lonely" by The Police fittingly plays in the background as he meets an attractive girl and realizes that his wedding band is the perfect tool for commitment-free nights of romance.

“Fire Burning” by Sean Kingston - After a day of work, Danny heads to a party in Just Go with It, which is where he ends up meeting Palmer—the girl who makes him decide that he wants to settle down. As the movie transitions to this party scene, the song "Fire Burning" by Sean Kingston can be heard.

Just Go With It Cast & Character Guide

From Adam Sandler to Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman, the cast of the romantic comedy Just Go with It is full of acclaimed A-list movie stars.

“Nothin' On You (feat. Bruno Mars)” by B.o.B - When Palmer (Brooklyn Decker) appeared for the first time, Danny saw her walking toward him in slow motion. It was obvious to him that this girl was different, and the doctor didn't even bother trying to use his old wedding ring tactics on her. Palmer's slow-motion entrance was accompanied in Just Go with It by the song "Nothin' On You" by B.o.B featuring Bruno Mars.

“Umbrella” by Rihanna - Danny wanted his assistant Katherine to look as if she had been married to a wealthy plastic surgeon when he introduced her to Palmer, so he took her on a shopping spree. This led to a classic rom-com shopping montage, which played out along with a remixed version of the song "Umbrella" by Rhianna.

“Roxanne” by The Police - Danny and Katherine had been friends and colleagues for years, but they had never thought to consider each other romantically. However, during Katherine's first time pretending to be Devlin, Danny realized just how attractive his assistant truly is. During the dinner meeting with Palmer, it was Katherine's turn to get a slow-motion entrance, this time to the song "Roxanne," yet another The Police song.

10 Lesser-Known Jennifer Aniston Rom-Coms You May Have Missed

Although Jennifer Aniston has starred in some of the best-known rom-coms ever, she's also had several lesser-known roles in underappreciated releases.

“Driven to Tears” by The Police - Though Katherine's time pretending to be Devlin was short, the accidental reveal that she had kids meant that Danny's deception couldn't possibly end. In an attempt to keep the false facade going, the "family" met Palmer at J.D. McFunnigan’s, a children's arcade restaurant. As Danny, Katherine, Maggie, and Michael approached the building (and watched the young child throw his drink at his pregnant mother in slow motion) the song "Driven to Tears" by The Police can be heard.

“Hawaii” by The Beach Boys - Michael managed to con Danny into taking everyone to Hawaii for a family bonding trip, which meant, yet again, that everyone just had to go with the lies and deception. As the group boarded their plane and landed on the beautiful island, the perfectly fitting song "Hawaii" by the Beach Boys played.

“Tainted Love” by Soft Cell - A vacation in Hawaii meant that Decker's Palmer had even more opportunities to look flawless. At one point, she is seen walking across the beach (in slow motion again) in a bikini to the song "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell.

“Canary in a Coalmine” by The Police - Among the group's adventures in Hawaii was a day-long hike that saw them through various uncomfortable circumstances. As everyone enjoyed their excursion, another The Police song played, this time "Canary in a Coalmine."

“Beggin’” by Madcon - Once again, Danny underestimated just how attractive his assistant could be. After their exhausting hike, Katherine decided to strip down and go swimming with Palmer in a beautiful Hawaiian waterfall and natural pool. Once she was only in her bikini, the song "Beggin'" by Madcon accompanies the look of shock on Danny's face.

The 15 Best Rom-Coms Of All Time Ranked

Between the romantic leads' crackling chemistry, grand gestures, and memorable kisses, the best rom-coms of all time know how to make audiences swoon.

“Love is the Seventh Wave” by Sting - Danny planned a whole day to pretend to be a good father to impress Palmer. However, he ultimately proved that he actually had a way with kids. Danny took Michael and Maggie to the pool to teach the boy how to swim, and he was ultimately successful. The heartwarming moment was accompanied by "Love is the Seventh Wave" by Sting (this time without the rest of the Police).

A running joke throughout Just Go with It is that Palmer is a huge NSYNC fan, a fact that reveals just how much younger than Danny she really is.

“Bye Bye Bye” NSYNC - A running joke throughout Just Go with It is that Palmer is a huge NSYNC fan, a fact that reveals just how much younger than Danny she really is. At one point, Palmer is in the shower jamming out to the boy band's song "Bye Bye Bye"—a fact that Katherine can't help but mock.

“He’eia” by Hapa - At first, Danny is the only one who benefits from the great deception he and his assistant had going on in Just Go with It. However, When Katherine ran into her old college rival, Devlin, she couldn't bring herself to admit that she was a single mom. So, she pretended that Danny was her husband. When the group goes on a double date to a luau, the song "He'eia" by Hapa can be heard in the background.

“Lovelier Than You” by B.o.B - Danny and Katherine were both surprised by their chemistry during their double date with Devlin, and it was clear that neither of them really wanted to say goodnight. After getting back to his room, Danny seemed to decide that he couldn't let the moment pass. So, he started to head back to Katherine's room to make something happen. The song "Lovelier Than You" by B.o.B played as he made his voyage through the hotel, but it ended abruptly when Palmer appeared in the elevator.

“Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol - Just as Danny started to think that he had feelings for Katherine, Palmer decided that it was a good idea to get married. Since Katherine didn't object, Danny agreed to the whole thing, and the following night and morning played out in a montage in which Palmer planned an impromptu Hawaiian wedding. This montage was accompanied by the song "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. Leading into Katherine's conversation with Devlin, an instrumental cover of the song can again be heard.

"Is This Love" by Bob Marley & The Wailers - During the final ending scenes of Just Go with It, Sandler's voice-over narration fills audiences in on everything that happened after he confessed his true feelings to Katherine. As the scene transitioned to Katherine and Danny's wedding, the song "Is This Love" by Bob Marley & The Wailers is played. This continues as the newlyweds dance, make jokes about the soul-patch bassist, and prepare to live happily ever after.

“Next to You” by The Police - The final song heard in Just Go with It is "Next to You" by The Police. It plays as the film transitions into the final credits, bringing Katherine and Danny's story to a close.
