During Jump Festa 2025, it was announced that volume 30 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series would include a brief epilogue that would serve as the series' true ending. When this news became public, fans began excitedly wondering about what kind of revelations Gege Akutami, the author, had in store for them. On December 25, 2024, this final entry became available for fans to read.
As revealed during the announcement, the epilogue did not focus on all the main characters; rather, it completed the arcs of four underdeveloped cast members. From Nobara’s family to Panda’s fate after the Culling Game arc, the Jujutsu Kaisen epilogue revealed a few quite interesting details about the series.
Yuji and Ozawa Enjoy a Snowy Day
Could Love Be Blossoming?
The first story of the Jujutsu Kaisen epilogue follows Yuji Itadori, the protagonist of the manga, as he returns to Sendai City, his hometown. The sorcerer traveled back to inherit the house of his late grandfather, as he abandoned it after moving to Tokyo at the beginning of the series. While walking through the station, he encounters Ozawa, his former classmate who has been in love with him for many years. Yuko had coincidentally traveled back to Sendai City as well to help her parents move her grandmother to a retirement home.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 is officially in production, and here's everything known about it so far from its story details to its release date.
Ozawa had been thinking about Itadori for months, ever since their brief meeting at the beginning of the series, an event that was strangely cut from season 1. When asked about his life until then, Itadori replies that he has been okay, revealing that he was in the middle of Shibuya during the infamous battle against Kenjaku’s lackeys in season 2. This revelation causes both characters to become tense, although the tension is quickly broken when they share a deep conversation about their love for snow. Ozawa is shown to be determined, implying that she likely confessed her love.
Nobara’s Family Is Revealed
Her Mother Is Beyond Horrible
The second story revolves around Nobara, who, after reading the letter Gojo left behind for her, knowing he would likely die at the hands of Sukuna, decided to visit her mother. The woman, whose name is not revealed, immediately introduces herself as a despicable person, mockingly asking her daughter if she came to visit after so many years. Nobara, with her usual brash attitude, replies that she had no intention of reuniting with her, but wanted to fulfill the final wish of her teacher.
Her mother continued with her underhanded insults, revealing that she had always been jealous of her daughter for her talent as a sorcerer. When the woman exclaims that Nobara’s grandmother neglected her in favor of her child because of her lack of talent. Kugisaki angrily comments that the only skills she lacked were as a parent. Ultimately, Nobara gives up on her mother, knowing that she will never change, and instead greets her grandmother, a scary and stern-looking elderly woman who glares at her daughter.
Panda Became a Gojo Clan Relic
He Will Be Found Several Decades In The Future
On a calm day in the year 2080, a pair of siblings go through the relics stored in one of the Gojo Clan’s compounds. The sister excitedly points to what seems to be a cute stuffed panda. Her brother reprimands her for taking it without care, explaining that their grandfather, the man who became Gojo’s successor, Yuta Okkotsu, told him it was an ancient treasure. The animal was none other than Panda, who had become inactive after the Culling Games, finally retiring in 2035. In the end, the bear wonders if the kids are truly Yuta’s grandchildren.
Uraume’s Origins
Sukuna’s Only Act of Kindness
Finally, the epilogue revealed the origins of Uraume’s affection for one of the best villain in the series, Sukuna. As a child, the sorcerer had no control over her ice powers, causing the death of her parents. Ryomen, interested in Uraume’s ability, took her with him, using her as an impromptu freezer for his food, although he ultimately decided to train her. During the final panels, Uraume asks her master why he never felt any cold when near her, with Sukuna jokingly asking why she did not feel unloved when near an unfeeling and cruel person like him.
While not the most revolutionary epilogue in history, Jujutsu Kaisen’s final chapter did serve to give the series a sense of fulfillment. The fate of many beloved characters was finally revealed, while a few unsolved issues were finally addressed. It is a loving reminder of what made this series so popular and beloved, one that fans are not likely to forget for many decades to come.
