90 Day Fiancé fans are curious about Patrick Mendes and what he is up to after starring in season 9. Patrick had a whirlwind romance with a Brazilian woman, Thaís Ramone, that led to their applying for a K-1 visa and starring in the reality TV show. Patrick from Austin, Texas has family roots in Brazil. He was looking for a Portuguese teacher on a dating app when he met Thaís. Just 11 months after meeting, Patrick and Thaís got engaged.

When Thaís moved to America, she was bothered by Patrick not telling her about how much money he made and by Patrick’s brother, John McManus, living in the same house as them. Moreover, Thaís’ father, Carlos, was not a big fan of Patrick. However, Thaís and Patrick tied the knot on February 22, 2022. Patrick had been married, but his wife filed for divorce from him in January 2020, possibly because of him choosing to focus on his new job rather than on his marriage. Patrick was a weightlifter who tested positive for human growth hormone before the 2012 Olympics.

Patrick’s wife Thaís announced her pregnancy during the 90 Day Fiancé season 9 Tell All. Fans had predicted that Thaís was pregnant as she was dropping hints on her Instagram throughout the season. Patrick and Thaís shared a joint statement about the birth of their first child on November 15, 2023. They named their baby daughter Aleesi Ramone Mendes. Baby Aleesi weighed 6 lbs., 4 oz., and measured 18 inches long at birth. The couple wrote how they were nervous going into delivery but were blessed to have a healthy baby who was perfect in every way.

In November 2024, Aleesi celebrated her second birthday. Patrick's Instagram feed is full of family photos, as they love to take holiday pictures altogether. Patrick and Thais don't seem in a hurry to welcome another child, but it's not out of the question for their future.

She weighed 178 pounds when she was pregnant. Thaís lost 38 pounds post-pregnancy and is happy with how far she’s come. Patrick has also slimmed down, just like his wife. Patrick used to weigh 270 pounds during his high school years.

At his heaviest, Patrick used to weigh 299 pounds. He changed his lifestyle and took fitness classes to end up at 210 pounds. “Now I stay around 230-240lbs,” Patrick shared in a recent update while adding that his weight is under control now.

Patrick and Thais were selected to be a couple whose journey continued on Happily Ever After? season 9. Their storyline during the season focused on their first trip to Brazil, so that Thais' family could meet Aleesi and celebrate her first birthday. They stayed in the apartment Patrick bought that his dad reaps the profits from. Thais felt Patrick's dad was taking advantage of him financially, and there were several clashes over Patrick's dad's stingyness.

Moreover, John decided to go on the trip with Patrick and Thais. John got a drink thrown in his face by Thais' friend, and Thais and John butted heads. By the end of the trip, however, John and Thais came to a meeting of the minds and mutually respected each other.

In October 2023, 90 Day Fiancé star Patrick has also posted a video of Aleesi’s “first snatch” where he can be seen training his daughter to become a weightlifter like him. Patrick and Thais have also built a strong 90 Day Fiancé alumni community. They recently hosted Kimberly Menzies and her son Jamal Menzies in their Las Vegas home.
