Jordana Brewster (Fast & Furious) has been tapped as a lead opposite Joel Kinnaman, John Malkovich and Jennifer Jason Leigh in Bishop, Prime Video‘s upcoming thriller drama series from co-creators Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, Vertigo and Amazon MGM Studios.
In Bishop, homicide detective Bishop Graves (Kinnaman) – brilliant, battle-scarred – will put all of his skills to the test in the hunt for an elusive killer targeting San Francisco’s moneyed class. As this increasingly audacious killer develops a devoted following among the city’s powerless, Bishop becomes convinced these murders connect back to SF’s most powerful man, his own father, Lincoln Graves (Malkovich).
Brewster will play Kat Claiborne, a seasoned inspector at the San Francisco Police Department. Leigh plays Lincoln Graves’ sister, and aunt to Bishop.
Little Marvin serves as showrunner of Bishop, which he and Saltzman executive produce alongside Roy Lee and Vertigo’s Miri Yoon. The project stems from Little Marvin’s overall deal at Amazon MGM Studios. Felicia Fasano is casting director.
Best known for her lead role as Mia Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise, Brewster was most recently seen in Sony’s horror rom-com Heart Eyes, and in Lionsgate thriller Cellar Door, with Scott Speedman and Laurence Fishburne. On television, she appeared in Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story, as well as Fox’s Lethal Weapon, among others. Upcoming, she stars alongside Annabeth Gish and Rob Riggle in Josh Plasse’s The Pirate King, which premieres March 16 at SXSW. Brewster is repped by Anonymous Content, CAA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
