Jon & Kate Plus 8 vet Collin Gosselin makes another shocking allegation against his mom

Collin Gosselin is questioning how his estranged mother Kate Gosselin used funds he believes were earmarked for him as a child.

In an interview with The U.S. Sun released Saturday, Collin, 22, made reference to legal papers he said document how much cash was in a collective fund for him and his siblings.

'I want to ask about where all the money disappeared in the court documents that I've been reading,' Collin said in the interview, which was recorded last fall. 'I'm an adult now. I'm going to do my own research.'

Collin, who has suggested Kate, 51, submit to a lie detector test on the issue, had appeared with his parents and siblings on TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8, which premiered in 2007 and was renamed Kate Plus 8 after his parents' 2009 divorce.

Kate and Jon, 49, had married in 1999 and welcomed twins Madelyn and Cara, both 25; followed by their sextuplets Aaden, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Collin and Joel (22), who were born as a result of In vitro fertilization.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Collin Gosselin, and Kate Gosselin, for further comment on the story.

Collin Gosselin, 22, is questioning how his estranged mother Kate Gosselin, 51, used funds he believes were earmarked for him as a child

Collin said his father Jon had taken unnecessary flak publicly for matters that Kate still has yet to clear up for him.

'Everybody loves to say, "Oh, this was definitely Jon behind this" - I'm an adult now,' he said. 'When these documents have my name on them and my siblings' names on them, I will find and justify the means of their money and my money - and we will find the truth.'

Collin said in the interview that he 'would love to ask her all about these financial matters.

'I'm sure she's going to watch this and be a little bit scared, but let's just put it all out there. I don't have anything to lose. I know you do, so let's put it out there.'

Collin told the outlet that he and his 'siblings were supposed to receive money out of a collective fund' without going into detail about the numbers.

He said that he 'saw in court that a lot was taken' and got what he described as 'a small portion that was, like, signed out on my name.

'I can tell you that it was close to nothing, because she took so much from it ... there's probably money that's still owed in my name.'

Collin said he felt that his siblings who live with his mother received a larger portion of the fund, as he described the money he received from his mother as 'scraps.'

Kate told a TikTok user that she has been hampered from taking legal steps against her son due to her fame

Kate in 2023 called Collin 'a very troubled young man who continues to need a lot of help'

Kate recently was asked by a TikTok user why she hasn't looked to take legal measures against Collin amid past allegations that have surfaced publicly.

She replied: 'I can't bc I'm a public figure. Rules are different unfortunately. Or I def would! The rules are different for ppl in the public eye.

'I consulted a high power LA attorney (you've definitely heard of him) years ago when other ppl were putting crazy stuff out there and that's what he said. The courts don't honor it if you're in the public eye :(.'

In the interview, Collin also said that he believed his resistance to appear on TV alongside his mother when he was 12 led her to send him to a behavioral facility.

'Even as a 12-year-old, before I was sent away, I could start to consider both sides of things,' he said. 'And I was stubborn enough to question my mom.

'I questioned her about everything, and that came before the rebellion of me not wanting to be on camera and be a part of her circus.

'That questioning led to me later not wanting to be on camera, and that really killed her.'

Collin spent nearly two years in a facility after his mother said that he displayed 'unpredictable behavior and violent tendencies towards' his relatives. (Jon eventually took custody of him in 2018.)

He speculated that his mother was looking to save a sagging public image at the time, and the move made things easier for her to continue with her family in her TV career.

Collin appeared with his parents and siblings on Jon & Kate Plus 8, which premiered in 2007

'I don't know what reason it was, whether it was her reputation she was saving by sending me away from home,' Collin said. 'Or whether it was the fact that maybe it's easier to sign a work permit for seven children that are voluntary, instead of seven children that are voluntary and one that's involuntary.'

Collin said that there were 'a lot of things to question' about the timeframe, in hindsight.

During his time at the facility, Collin said that Kate stopped by 'one time for probably about 20 minutes,' informing him that he 'broke her family' and 'that [his] siblings want nothing to do with [him], all that stuff.'

Kate acknowledged placing Collin in a facility in a statement she made to People in 2023.

'My son Collin, whom I love with all my heart, has received multiple psychiatric diagnoses over the years,' she said. 'For the safety of myself, his brothers and sisters, and for his own well-being, he was placed in a facility following years of outpatient treatment which proved insufficient for his needs.'

She called Collin at the time 'a very troubled young man who continues to need a lot of help.'

Kate added that his 'brothers and sisters and I have not been directly involved in his life due to his history of unpredictable behavior and violent tendencies towards us.'

Collin is slated to come out with his memoir, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, later this year
