Lily-Rose Depp Makes Rare Comment About Dad Johnny Depp at Cannes
Yo ho, yo ho, it's a bartender's life for Jack Depp.
As it turns out, Johnny Depp and his ex Vanessa Paradis' 22-year-old son had been quietly working as a server at L'Area, a Lebanese restaurant in Paris, for the last two years.
"Jack is a great guy," owner Edouard Chueke told the Daily Mail in an interview published Dec. 7. "He keeps out of the limelight, but worked here behind the bar and in the kitchen."
Though Jack left his job "a few months ago," Edouard said he expects him to return next year.
"He was a good employee," Edouard added. "Good staff are hard to find."
Besides, Jack brought in a friendly crowd of regulars, including his 25-year-old sister Lily-Rose Depp, who followed their dad Johnny's footsteps into acting.
"Lily was mixing Caipirinhas behind the bar and really getting into the swing of it," Edouard recounted of a particular night the Idol actress came to visit the restaurant. "She was enjoying herself."
But it appears Jack's talents extend beyond just mixing drinks. After all, Johnny previously described him as a "very talented draftsman."
At the time, Johnny admitted he was actually quite relieved that Jack "hasn’t shown any desire to become an actor."

"My daughter, on the other hand, is one of the smartest human beings I have ever known," he gushed of Lily-Rose. "She has far surpassed myself and my friends. She is just a genius."
The 61-year-old—who split with Lily-Rose and Jack's mom Vanessa in 2012 after more than a decade together—added that his daughter's "got the goods" and "can certainly deliver" when it comes to acting.
"They are both great talents," Johnny added. "I wish I could shy them away from it. But the kids are going to make the decisions. It’s what they want to do."
