Jessica Biel reveals wild family logistics as she and Justin Timberlake juggle global careers and parenting: 'We didn't see Justin for eight weeks'

Jessica Biel has opened up about the challenges of balancing her acting career and husband Justin Timberlake's touring schedule while raising their kids.

The 44-year-old actress – who said her body did 'crazy things' after giving birth twice – shares sons Silas, 11, and Phineas, six, with the 45-year-old pop star.

While appearing on the SmartLess podcast this week, she detailed how their family was scattered across continents for weeks at a time. 

'Justin was in the middle of the global tour, which was insane. He was literally in South America... or he was in he was in North America and I was in Budapest with the kids. 

'They came for seven weeks. We didn't see Justin for eight weeks,' Biel recalled about filming AppleTV's Matchbox: The Movie.

'Then we met back up in the Bahamas for a week. Then I went to Morocco. Then he went to South America and my kids went back to Montana,' she shared.

'It was wild. The only way it works is the incredible nanny team, support team, assistant team, colleague team. I cannot do this. My life does not function without like all of those incredible people,' the working mom emphasized. 

It comes after Biel recently discussed motherhood, over a decade after she welcomed her first child with Timberlake.

As she makes her return to movies, she revealed the reason behind her nine-year hiatus.

'After you have kids, your body does crazy things,' the star explained to People. 'And you’re like, when is this body ever going to feel like mine again?'

'I kind of feel like myself again after 11 years, which sounds crazy,' the mom of two shared.

Explaining her choice to star in Matchbox: The Movie, she told the outlet her kids played a part in her decision-making.

In the AppleTV movie, Biel plays an EMT who is also an amateur race car driver.

She said about the action-heavy role: 'I really felt like I could trust myself to have the physical capabilities to do something like this again.

'It just was the perfect timing and felt like an opportunity that my kids would be proud of, that they could see. And that maybe they’d think I was kind of cool because, you know, cars and stuff.' 

Biel and Timberlake's older son Silas even has a minor cameo in the project, with the proud mother teasing to E! News, 'He plays a small part in the movie at the very end, which is really cute.'

The former 7th Heaven star's sons gave her new movie their stamp of approval, she revealed.

'Their reviews are like, "Yeah, it was awesome. Obviously. It was cool,"' she told People.  

However, Silas took issue with one wardrobe detail – 'My son Silas was very concerned about the green dress. He was like, "What are you wearing, Mom? Yuck!"' Biel shared about one particular scene.

The action movie, which also stars John Cena, premiered on the streamer on Friday.
