Anthropic is heading to Nasdaq with one of the most eye-catching numbers ever printed in an S-1: $637 billion in multiyear compute and infrastructure commitments.
At the pace of its record second quarter, the company would need roughly 14 years of revenue to cover that tab.
The Claude developer filed its Form S-1 registration with the SEC on October 26, 2026. It plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker ‘ANT’, with the offering tentatively scheduled for mid-November 2026.
The IPO could value the company somewhere between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion. For reference, Anthropic was valued at $965 billion in a funding round in May 2026.
The bill, itemized
The $637 billion figure spans seven major providers. Broadcom accounts for the single largest slice at $161.2 billion. Google follows with at least $114.5 billion.
SpaceXAI and Amazon also appear among the top counterparties. Many of these commitments are non-cancelable, according to the filing.
Revenue is sprinting
Anthropic brought in $4.6 billion for full-year 2025, an increase of 11.9 times over the prior year. In the first half of 2026 alone, revenue hit $16.3 billion, up from $1.2 billion in the first half of 2025. That works out to nearly 14-fold year-over-year growth.
The second quarter of 2026 did most of the heavy lifting. Anthropic posted a record $11.6 billion in Q2 revenue, the large majority of its first-half total.
About 80% of the company’s revenue is consumption-based. Customers pay for how much they use Claude rather than a flat subscription fee.
The filing points to a net revenue retention rate of around 900%.
Profit, depending on which line you read
Anthropic recorded a net loss of $80.7 billion in the first half of 2026. That figure is primarily driven by non-cash accounting charges tied to convertible securities, not by money literally walking out the door.
Meanwhile, the company turned its first positive GAAP operating profit in Q2 2026, at $974 million.
Amazon holds $6.2 billion in outstanding non-interest-bearing convertibles, and Google is also a key investor. Both companies also show up on the supplier side of the compute ledger, which makes them partners, shareholders and vendors all at once.
What this means for the IPO
The 14-year math assumes Q2 revenue stays flat for more than a decade. Non-cancelable commitments are fixed. Consumption-based revenue is not.
A listing in the $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion range would make Anthropic one of the most valuable newly public companies on record and set a pricing benchmark for the rest of the AI sector.
Key items to track before mid-November include the final IPO price range, any updates to Q3 revenue figures, and whether the operating profit holds as more compute capacity comes online and starts showing up in costs.
